My two cents on Pop Culture.

So I was watching the news this morning, and I saw that some of the highest paid people came from television. I noticed that at the top of the reality list, I saw Kim Kardashian, making 6,000,000 dollars in 6 months. I don't know if you have seen the s*** warp that is "Keeping up with the Kardashians", but it's enough to make you shoot everyone in a 5 mile radius. 99.9% of the show is devoted to watching a 'happy' rich family yell and scream of the stupidest things like having their 'Kredit Kards Kancelled'. The other 0.1% is devoted to making people watching the show feel like failures by not making as much money as them, by buying expensive clothes, and driving around in f***ing escalades. Why does this show get so many views on TV? Why do they get paid so much money, to fight, and show how rich they are?

Wasn't there just an oil spill in the Ocean? Anybody?

Isn't there a genocide in Darfur?

Just because Angelina Jolie adopts half of Africa doesn't change the fact that my s*** smells the different in the toilet.

This is why I say........f*** Pop Culture.

Well the life of the rich has always had a big attraction on people.
Meh it depends on what people define as "pop culture", my Saint Seiya OVAs and Touhou music are pretty much part of it to me. But yeah these shows are usually stupid, they get paid so much for it and a lot of it is faked. Do some stupid planned-out things to attract more viewers.

Btw I looked up Kim Kardashian and gosh, she's really not that pretty. ._.

She looks like a horse. o_O

In the show, 'The hills" its fake. And one of the stars, Heidi Montag got like breast augmentation, a nose job, her chin done, and something else. It's like people have lost their souls.

Reality shows are all like this, pretty much. It's especially funny when the people fake money troubles when they're getting paid thousands of dollars to be taped, or when it's blatantly obvious the show is not 100% real. All of the drama is self-induced and meaningless, and it's not even at a level worthy of considering drama. "She has bad hair." "OH MY GOD SHE DID NOT JUST SAY THAT ON TELEVISION. SOMEONE IS GOING TO GET BEAT UP ON THIS SHOW!"

I hate reality shows, and I hate so many stars and star-related shows it's not even countable.

Saying that doesn't stop you from sounding like one ;D

but most of the things you say are right, but you shouldn't get so worked up. society is corrupt and there isn't much you can do about it.

"Pop Culture" is different to "Popular Media". Pop Culture is often described as a collective of cult TV shows, video games and music. Popular Media is, well, popular/mainstream television, radio and publications. Besides, we all know that reality TV is bullshit.

The cast of this years christmas panto that's on at the theatre at work.

David von Day - Dollar, I'm a Celebrity Get Me Out of Here

Sue Moxley - The Sun: Beauty Editor

Josh Dubovie - Eurovision (not particularly good)

Frazer Hines - Emmerdale, Doctor Who

Nikki Grahame - Big Brother (not particularly high finish)

Daniel Fox - X-Factor (not particularly high finish)

Rodney Marsh - I actually don't know, he's playing the man in drag

Scrapping the barrel huh? Safe to say I will not be getting a ticket, I may even turn down ushering duty and being paid to watch it.

Nikki and David aren't the most pleasant people either.
