Discuss the first Thunder archetype and how [s]it is better than TeleDAD ever was[/s] how successful it can be. Also discuss why Batteryman C was ever printed.

Batteryman OTK is incredible, especially with Short Circuit to nuke the opponent's field. Inferno Reckless Summon plus any number of the Batteryman revival cards for AA brings out 3 monsters with 3000 ATK. Batteryman D is a decent defender, but not incredible. Voltic Dragon tries to use the first Batterymen the same way Gadjiltron Dragon uses Gadgets.

Batteryman C exists because it was released in CRV, when Machines started to get more support. Despite that, it's pretty useless and doesn't support Batterymen except in name.

With some of the new Thunder support with Watts being released, there's the chance Batterymen can get some needed power, but right now they're on the border. Micro-Cell is a good searcher, but a little slow.

Not to mention that we now have both Monster Reborn and Call of the Haunted.

Micro-Cell is nice because it's a +1, though I agree the Flip makes it a bit slow. The draw definitely helps make up for it.

I played Batterymen from LODT-ANPR. It wasn't very fun.

They need another good LV 4 or lower member to be good-ish.

I was thinking that, too, when I was working on a Batteryman deck in DMG. Kaminari and Thunder Knight are good additions, but they need one more (useful) Level 4 or lower member. Maybe a Sangan or a Foolish Burial monster?

@Ser: Batterymen are way better now with Fuel Cell. It's such a good card and sets up OTKs way more easily. Plus, it's summonable by Charger for beatstickery.

I went back to Batterymen after TSHD, and found FC lead to terrible hands.

AAA's purpose seems to be to help get enough batteries on the field for Short Circuit, and not do it well.

I thought it was to use with Fuel Cell, too.

And to generally be another Battery Man so you can have a chubby Deck.
