Question 1
Can I exceed the number of monsters for a Ritual Spell on purpose?
Example: Tribute 3 Lv.4 Monsters for a Lv.6 Ritual?
With 2 it would be enough but I want to throw as much as possible so cards to take advantage of Lycanthrope's effect. Can I?

Question 2
According to my friend, you can Special Summon from the Graveyard "Dark Necrofear" if you first summoned it correctly to the field, which I agree. However he Special Summons it without using any other cards effect, I mean he removes another 3 DARK monsters from his Graveyard and revives Necrofear. And if its true, can I revive Aqua Spirit from the grave too (don't confuse with Water Spirit).

THANK YOU VERY MUCH!

Yes you can have more than 2 monsters for rituals

And no, you cannot summon necrofear from the grave using its own effect

What I meant was if I can use more monsters for the summon even if its already fulfilled. If with 2 Level 3 mons I can summon a Level 6 ritual, can I tribute more monsters?

And thank you for the necrofear info :)

1) Not the way you want to. You don't need the exact level of stars (for most), but you cannot Offer a monster if your current offerings already meet or exceed the requirement. So in your example, you may Tribute 2 level 4s, but not 3, because two level 4s is 8, and the third offering is superfluous.

2) The Summoning requirement on the card applies only in the hand unless specifically stated otherwise, such as on Machina Fortress or Dark Simorgh. If properly summoned, you can use other effects to Special Summon it, such as Monster Reborn.

WOW Thank you! Now I can tell my friend and screw his strategy! XD
It's a pity about the Rituals, I wanted to abuse the Lycanthrope's effect T_T.
By the way I posted my Normal Deck in the corresponding thread. Should I still add the Lycanthrope? Does it fit there?

now hold on evilfusion, i don't know that you're right there.
can you cite a ruling to back that up?

rodexe, let me first thank you for posting in the appropriate section and typing in english. we get a lot of idiots here.

next,
@ritual question:
i would imagine that it has a little to do with the spell in question, since some specify exact numbers. that aside, i don't see any reason why you couldn't drop a field full of level 8's for lycanthrope's summon. i see several reasons why you shouldn't, but i don't see a rule against it.

basic game mechanic questions are always hard to look up.

@necrofear question:
it's been said, but yeah. cards such as aqua spirit, necrofear, etc, with effects that say you can special summon this by doing this this and that, cannot activate these effects from the grave unless otherwise specified.

I'm pretty sure evilfusion is correct there. IIRC, the WC games don't let you continue sending monsters, and that's how we found out that monsters with 0 ATK can't kill each other...

I know that I am right, for I recall a rulebook explicitly stating additional monsters cannot be offered, and these rules are backed by the video games, which do not permit additional offerings once the level requiring is reached. Whether I can find the ruling to cite is another thing.
