It only revives when killed by Battle, so effect removal won't trigger this. It revives during the End Phase, so it doesn't even bring the monster back to protect you further. It also means you can't abuse Sangan or similar by reviving it to block another attack and search again. EDIT: Oh, you can use it on your opponent's monster...that could be interesting, but still not any worse than something like Autonomous Action Unit or Goyo Guardian.
