Hopefully you guys remember me from the old versions of these. If not, welcome to a new beginning in card making. This set will be just like old times, and just like they are in real life. There will be 80 cards. They will be featured in my fan fiction, which you can find [url=http://forum.yugiohcardmaker.net/topic/235047-yu-gi-oh-resistance-chronicles-chapter-1-pg-13/]here.[/url] Each of my characters will use a set of cards featured in here. Each card will be of my own design, created with my own templates. All Japanese translations are courtesy of Google. I am not fluent in the language. All images are [i]art[/i] and should be treated such. Each one will be posted here, in the end it will be a large thread. Enjoy the set. I will update it regularly. Not all the cards are created. Suggestions are welcome! If this card destroys a monster this way, increase the ATK of this card by 500 until your next Standby Phase. [/spoiler] VORD-JP017 :: Nebula - Draining Fist [IMG]http://i53.tinypic.com/n4igyo.png[/IMG] WIND/Fiend - Tuner/2/500/1600 If you control a Level 4 or lower "Nebula" Monster you can Special Summon this card from your hand. Once per turn if this card would be destroyed, it isn't. If your opponent controls 2 or more monsters and they enter their Battle Phase they must attack this card with their weakest monster. Once per turn, when you take damage, increase the ATK of this card by the same amount. When the attack target monster next attacks, destroy the monster at the end of the Damage Step and then Special Summon this card in face-up Attack Position. VORD-JP020 :: Nebula - Asteroid Force [IMG]http://i54.tinypic.com/mhyjhy.png[/IMG] WIND/Fiend - Effect/4/1200/1700 While this card is removed from play and your opponent activates a Trap Card you can negate that effect and Set that card face-down again, then Special Summon this card in face-up Attack Position. This effect can be chained to the activation of a Counter Trap Card. [spoiler=VORD-JP068 :: Nebula Launch] [IMG]http://i51.tinypic.com/112fmf6.png[/IMG] Normal Trap Card Activate when a "Nebula" Monster you control would be sent to the Graveyard. Remove from play that monster instead and gain Life Points equal to its level x 100. When this card is in your Graveyard you can select and activate 1 of the following effects based on the number of your removed from play "Nebula" Monsters: • Exactly 1: Draw 2 cards and remove from play this card in your Graveyard. You cannot draw a card(s) during your next Draw Phase. • 2+: Draw 2 cards, then place this card in your Graveyard on top of your deck. I like the balance that you still take damage from the battle. LOVE the image. Nebula - Wandering Shield: Great combo with your Trap. Also good if you remove it for an effect (be it cost or summoning). Nasty looking little mechanical demon. Nebula Launch: Quite an interesting trap you got there. I'd like to see more Nebulas so I can see just how much life you can gain with this thing. Nice double effect- although I was kinda hoping to see an effect if you had a LOT of Nebulas removed. [/quote] Launch does seem like a good idea, but i have learned my lesson from overpowered cards. =/ i am destined to show the combos with each slightly underpowered card in my fic. I'm glad you like the idea of the Nebulae. Also, even though I hardly review cards anymore, these cards just [i]look[/i] astonishing. I will do my very, very best to leave a review for them, for if the card catches my eye this much, nothing can tell how awesome / good / creative the effect is going to be, well, until I read it that is. That is always admirable. and Two, coming and commenting. XD i appreciate both highly. If you aren't fond of reviewing then you don't have to, i suppose. [/quote] No no no, I am [b]very[/b] fond of reviewing, I'm (not trying to sound cocky) one of the best reviewers in Realistic Cards. But for some reason, I've started to stop reviewing cards, mainly because it's hard to find cards actually catch my eye, whether in looks, and by who is making it, seeing I only rate 90% of the time cards made from users I know are good in card making, because even if some new member has a really good looking card with the image + maybe a custom template and all, when I read the effect it's well, crap. You choose your artwork with a selective and effective mind that also manages to put that art into cards with fitting effect and splendid choices of names. Anbu-of-Sand Posted January 7, 2011 Report Share Posted January 7, 2011 Lacking time (sorta), so I can't give one of my actual reviews, so here's a quick one on the first card of the set. [color=blue][b]Gearex Rose[/b][/color] The effect is extremely unique, I say this because original doesn't cut it for the effect. The effect is a slight twist on a well known effect in YGO, destroying monsters somewhere during the damage step. However, the twist on this card is that it only destroys that monster if it's DEF is larger then this monsters ATK, which is a decent 1600. So sad how it can't dodge Bottomless D: But then again, this card becomes a 2100 beater through a 500 ATK boost when it does destroy a monster, until your next Standby that is. It's uses as of right now are very, very, questionable. It could perhaps in some way be used to make some lulzy Deck in the TCG, but I do not know how. Being a LIGHT has it's uses, such as Honest, but that doesn't really help when combined with the monsters effect. I can only assume at the least this was made for an Archetype within the Set. The English OCG is perfect, but there are several errors in the Japanese OCG: DEF = 守備力(しゅびりょく) ATK = 攻撃力(こうげきりょく) 増やす does mean "to increase", but the correct Japanese OCG should be アップする する (dictionary form) is used instead of ください and ます Position = 裏側表示(うらがわひょうじ) (face-down) or 表側表示(おもてがわひょうじ) (face-up) あなた is never used, only 自分 is used hand = 手札(てふだ), it means card in hand to activate = 発動(はつどう)する to remove = 除外(じょがい)する There is no plural form in Japanese, so the (s) after カード in your Trap is not needed 描画 is draw where you use pencil to draw, to draw a card is カードをドローする and the direct translation of "When you draw this card remove it from play and take 1000 damage" should be: このカードをドローした時、このカードを除外し、1000ポイントのダメージを受ける。 Sorry, kinda went over the top there. XD However, there will be times where this is useful. Mostly this card takes care of monsters that have extreme defense. Enemy controller would be fun with this card, like when there is a strong monster with epic high defense as well. I am not sure if the rest of my set adapts to just this one monster, but they all will have a constant theme. They will surface soon. However, i won't change anything on the image because, well, its an image. =/ Sadly i know very little about the Japanese language. That is why i wrote at the beginning of the thread that the cards show are art only, since i use Google for a translation. I am certain that the translation i got from google is incorrect but i use it anyway because i don't know any better and, for the most part, neither does the rest of the forum. However, you are one of the people who does know the language well, and can school me in it at any time. So with that, i admit defeat. The OCG i gave under the card, in english, is what i want it to say. It is (hopefully) grammatically correct. XD I really appreciate your attention to detail and your willingness to help me out.
