Guest JoshIcy Posted January 9, 2011 Report Share Posted January 9, 2011 Welcome to the Custom Cards Your Deck Brawl, where you will be actually fighting against one another in the arena's. Whether it be in Theory or right on top of the Duel Arena itself, you will be challenging others. But it's not just your mettle that will be tested, but your ability to organize yourself and see through that which you do not understand yet. For this Brawl, you will create a DECK to play with that is made from YOUR PLAYSTYLE. These cards are to reflect YOU, your own Personal Anime-Style Deck as it were. This does not mean you HAVE to Duel however (it will be a factor though no less; however this is part of the reasons for the Judge calls because we will duel in your place). But you must create cards to Duel with and build a Decklist from it. And submit it to us, along with a link to your thread with your cards. Multiples of the Same Card are allowed, so this may or may not greatly decrease the amount of cards you must create. Now for the sake of Bluntness...Card RequirementsThey must be new cards. They must reflect your personal playstyle and be able to identify with you personally.You will post a new thread in Realistic Cards with yourself making these cards and notify us in this thread of each update.You will receive bonus points for YVD Format or Written Card Format versions inside Spoilers at the bottom of your post.Deck List RequirementsYour Deck must contain 40-50 cards, no more.Your Deck must contain at LEAST 20 custom cards in total, this includes multiples. However it may be more, just not less.The remaining cards may be TCG or OCG Cards. They must follow the up to Date Banlist however.Decklists are to be submitted in this thread in tags along with your Thread Link. The Goal of this Brawl, is to see who can create the well... Best Tiered Deck. However a Deck that is considered Broken, will either be forced to utilize a modified Ban-list (posted inside the Client itself as well as on this Thread) or be considered invalid and you will need to post a modified Deck List or edit your cards before receiving the appropriate Award. Tier 2 Decks will receive a Gold Award. Metagame Decks will receive a Bronze Award, or a special Star one depending on how well it performs. Tier 3 Decks will receive a Silver Award. Anything below is considered unplayable and will not receive an award. You will also receive awards based on your efforts and notable creations like near-misses. So the fact you can include real cards, my only problem is that everyone will just choose tons of typical meta cards along their custom cards, especially when it comes to Spell and Traps (Solemn Judgement, Pot of Duality etc.). Cards aren't played in a void of only their own set. Not paying attention to how they interact with Solemn/Duality/Ect is a large problem that RC needs to fix. That is why they receive a Bronze, however if you show that you did do it WELL and it wasn't an accident you will receive a Star, which for all intents and purposes is a higher award than Gold. Tier 2 Decks require some effort to design and are extremely fun (this is where the largest most varied but not slow as slug Decks are). So they receive a Gold Award for being the most difficult to create. @Zear Zen: Images are only cosmetic for the forum, they hold no value when transferring over to the Duel Client. Tier 1 is usually very fast, often having less player-to-player interaction as a result.
