Well he can be easily Summoned by a Giant Rat, so he isn't too bad. Still, don't know what to really do with him, except use some ridiculous Shield and Sword thing or somethin'. It wouldn't even have any use being with a weird ATK/DEF Swap Ojama Deck because for such a deck to get more use out of the ATK/DEF swapping, you'd put more high DEF monsters in the Deck, and this card only does damage based on Original ATK, which would do no so well as monsters with high Original DEF generally have low Original ATK. I'm not saying there aren't any (Botanical Lion is a pretty good option), but it just doesn't work well together here. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

DARKPLANT RISING Posted January 11, 2011 Report Share Posted January 11, 2011 Time to have my mind hacked by Konami. ......AHHHHHHH So YCM, here is Castle Gates, one of the new and powerful monsters given to us by the Yu-Gi-Oh! R Comics. It may have 0 ATK; don't let that fool you, its 2400 DEF and the effect that negates all destruction from battle is very effective for your opponent, and may force him or her to waste good cards like Tribute To the Doomed upon it. And while it is nice enough to have a monster with unbeatable defense, if you choose to put it in Attack Mode, its new and powerful effect will start to really damage your opponent! Once per turn, it can tribute 1 low-level monster and inflict its ATK as direct damage to your opponent's life points! This means that while you have this, your monsters can attack directly every turn! Not only that, while you may be worried about taking tons of damage, cards like Spirit Barrier will make you invincible against the damage the gates take! Also, by using cards like Mark of the Rose, you can tribute your opponent's most powerful monsters to activate this card's effect very easily and effectively! And, as another great combo, Shield and Sword will turn this into a near-unbeatable monster with the most powerful of ATK! Every deck should run this very useful monster, Castle Gates!!
