Basically the idea is people enter this topic, suggesting where cards should be on the banlist, JUSTIFYING their reason for putting said card on the list, if other members agree, we place it on the list. Cards can come off the list, and put to anywhere, as long as there is a viable reason and others support it. Here's the list so far: Banned: Treeborn Frog Monster Reborn Cold Wave Royal Tribute Brionac, Dragon of the Ice Barrier(?) Limited: Machina Fortress(?) Darkend2575 Posted January 12, 2011 Report Share Posted January 12, 2011 Banned: Cold wave, its a game winner in some cases like sabers and usually sets up huge plays where the opponent can slightly ever come back from. Limited: Gateway of the six, simply because it does almost everything, special summons from deck or grave, and it boosts attack. Samurai will be broken with this at 3 so i say to 1 or maybe 2. Darkest Hour Posted January 12, 2011 Report Share Posted January 12, 2011 Semi Limited Black Whirlwind. Blackwings suffer too greatly with only 1 Whirlwind, but 3 is still way too many. Lumina, Lightsworn Summoner. Same reasoning as the Blackwings, at 1 it hinders lightsworn too much, and at 3 it's too many. Feel free to give me reasons why this may not be a good idea. Yeezus Posted January 12, 2011 Author Report Share Posted January 12, 2011 I'm definitely agreeing with Manjy on Royal Tribute, it does warrant a ban, everyone agree? Obviously Cold Wave, Dark Hole, Reborn banned. Putting Grandmaster on the list is pointless really, you can only have 1 out at a time and the better decks play it in 2. It doesn't actually do much for the deck except gain counters for stuff quicker, and if we hit the stuff that gets the counters it eliminates that. Are we banning or limiting Gateway? I also think Machina Gearframe for a limit and that Black Whirlwind shouldn't be touched. Also, I agree with Chilla for the Treeborn ban. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
