Pure Scraps

Recommended Posts

I've long since been aware of the name change, but that doesn't change the fact that if his fixes aren't outrageously stupid, they're worth a shot. At absolute worst, I discover that no, it doesn't work, and I neg the change for a better one. At best, it works. Either way, I have nothing to lose and all to gain by taking him up on his non-stupid advice.

I figure that Shark is ideal for multiple Searchers, as it can mill them very quickly, as well as Summon them back if Shark explodes.

I like the idea of Holy Lances. What to neg for them?

So essentially, I need space for

2 Sharks
1 Worm
2 Lances.

Except you have to be a little cautions about doing so.
If you remember correctly, Shark's effect is backwards.
Meaning he destroys himself first, and then mils a Scrap.
So if you only control shark, and then use him to mill your first Searcher, that Searcher's effect wont go off.
But then this way, your already ready to go with more Sharks.

And yes, Konami deliberately made Shark this way, just to annoy me.

+2 Quillbolt hedgehog
+1 Goblin
+1 Breaker

-1 Shark
-1 Wurm
-1 Level Eater
-1 Searcher

1 Shark is plenty
i dont feel wurm has a place in a scrap deck tbh
my friend plays scraps, and ive seen that there are better ways to get dragon effect plays than level eater, like Dark Coffin
same as shark, 1 searcher is fine.

Quillbolt makes for beast and barkion plays
with 2 scrapyards you need the 3d goblin
and last but not least, i only PERSONALLY like breaker at 2 but thats just me

hope what i said wasnt too stupid =P

Ok...

@Shark + Searcher: While 1 Shark may be plenty, @2 I draw them not quite enough that they are a problem. And since they now have a semi-decent non-Scrapstorm method of milling in the form of Shark, Searchers can be run at more than one.

@Worm: True, Worm's effect isn't quite in place for a Scrap deck, and it has no synergy with Chimera whatsoever. However, it can go in with Golem to make 7s (something the deck has been struggling to do for a while, minus Archfiend) and Breaker for 8s. Plus, it helps with the math for Shimmer.

@Level Eater: Eater is used for more than just Dragon's effect. It's also used to reduce Levels for Synchro-ing and as Tribute fodder for Breaker and Golem to increase my field presence.

@Quillbolt: While it does help with making 6s and 5s, the deck doesn't really need them all that much. Plus, with no reliable way of milling the things, it's reliant on drawing them, which slows the deck down considerably. However, you have given me the idea of running a Foolish to help with the mill.

@Goblin: I'll give a third Goblin a test again. It's decent enough, and my opponents are usually ignorant enough of the deck to not attack it a second time.

@Breaker: Same, but I only have 1. QQ

So to summarize,
+1 Foolish
+1 Goblin

for 40.

Quillbolt is best used in mill varients, which, sadly, aren't that great.

Either that, or you have some superpowerful card that gets them in the grave quickly. (You want Beast/Golem/Chimera in the grave before quillbolt.)

Yeah, he's good, but...

Keep the Eater. He's amazing. Plus, you can tech One For One. (Glow Up helps with this, too.)
