While this list has done rather well, I can't help but think there's something that can be done to fix the bad hands I seem to start in with every 5 or so actual games (and in nearly every test hand...). By "bad hands", I mean stuff like Reborn/Accelerator/Accelerator/One for One/Limiter/Map which lets me do nothing, or hands like Remoten/Remoten/Dupe/Warning/Limiter/Dupe, which can get even stupider.

In any case, I already know the Main Deck is solid (albeit still fixable). So what I'll do this time is not have me budget interfere with the fixes (such as my disallowing of a second Warning or a better Extra Deck last time I posted this). It'd be nice if someone helped me come up with a decent side too...

So yeah. Does anyone have anything to say to help?

How often do you pull out Level 5 Synchros?
The frequency for each Synchro level is usually reflected by the amount I run. Basically, it goes like this:

LV4 is essentially when I pull Remoten with Celfon and don't have a better play (or when I have PTD and deliberately go for Armory Arm for the lulz)
LV5 happens in one of two cases. The first is when I pull a Tuner after some failed Celfon rolls and just want to get rid of my Celfons, or when Celfon pulls Scopen and I don't have a LV4 I can spare in hand.
LV6 is the rarest. I can only summon it with Tuner + Boarden or DEF Scopen + double Celfon.
LV7 can be whipped out by Scopen quite easily.
LV8 is usually summoned by double Junk Box or Celfon pulling out Scopen when I can spare a LV4.
LV9 is usually only pulled out by Remoten + Dupe, since the one I run is Gottoms.

So: 7 > 8 >>> 5 > 9 > 4 >>>>>> 6.

So, my LV5 Synchro becomes a Draw Engine instead of simply being a beater that gives me 600/1200 LP per turn.

I can't believe I never thought of that change. >___>

Thanks for the tip, I'll edit that in. Any more changes to the Synchro list? Scrap Archfiend probably needs to be replaced, for instance...

As funny as this sounds, Scopen has actually topped off the damage for my OTKs before - Radion + Boomboxen + Scopen only puts me 600 points short...

In any case, I agree with the spirit behind Chillaccino's response - those changes are stupid.

In any case... How would Smashing work against GBs? I did consider Veiler for the side before, but I always used to toss the idea out for the reason I mentioned in the OP - my previous threads always adhered to my budget. This one doesn't, as thus I can side Veilers. That said, the side is probably best done from scratch...

Incidentally, this reminds me... This deck doesn't have enough monster removal - opponents that don't get OTK'd tend to use this fact to plow right through me. Any ideas?

How useful is Map in here?

Since I'm maybe thinking that if you don't play Map that often or if that it isn't that vital, that you could neg 1 for a monster removal card.

Also, remove Power Tool for Urbellum? It's not really a do-or-die decision but I just think that Urbellem might be more useful(?)

Map has to be at 3 to be used. There's no two ways about it. I mainly use it as more revival, so...

The thing here is that an oddly large amount of my swarming comes from the grave, so Map should stay. Besides, lowering the Map count makes summoning Malefic End an even rarer event.

The sad part about your Synchro suggestion is that it would be correct if PTD wasn't compatible with Limiter and Armory Arm. Armory counts as an equip spell (giving me a 3300 ATK Flame Wingman that can trade the effect for protection), and Limiter allows me to use its being a Machine to push for game. I'd find those two uses more useful than some minor hand manipulation.

Perhaps a quick scan over my Synchros would be in order, to see what's useful and what isn't:

LV4:

1 Armory Arm

LV5:

1 Tech Genus Hyper Librarian

LV6:

1 Goyo Guardian

LV7:

1 Ancient Fairy Dragon
1 Ancient Sacred Wyvern
1 Black Rose Dragon
1 Power Tool Dragon
1 Scrap Archfiend

LV8:

1 Colossal Fighter
2 Stardust Dragon
1 Thought Ruler Archfiend

LV9:

1 XX-Saber Gottoms

Armory Arm is run because it's the only option, Hyper Librarian was just added for the draw engine just now, Goyo is simply a good LV6 (but I barely use LV6 to begin with), AFD + ASW is a pro play, Black Rose requires no introduction, PTD simply combos with Limiter and Armory, Scrap Archfiend's just a general beatstick, my LV8s and Gottoms should require no explanation.

So I suppose PTD and Airbellum may or may not be better than each other in that slot... but that means that I have to find out which of these is superior:

PTD:

+ 100 more base ATK.
+ Combos nicely with Armory Arm.
+ Is affected by Limiter Removal.

- It's useless unless I have Armory Arm or Limiter Removal.

Airbellum:

+ Hand control is good.

- 100 less base ATK.
- The hand control doesn't happen unless I run over something using its low ATK.

I'm going with PTD.

If finding space was so simple, I wouldn't need to post this thread...

add 1 autonomous action unit, its an equip with a high cost yes, but can help push for game and is searchable with power tool.
I can only search it with PTD if I run 3 equips or more...

Also, I have 7 revival cards. I think that's enough.

BUMP

The main problem I've seen still remains.

I lack a decent amount of removal. If my opponent summons something, I can either be really lucky by having one of my 4 Traps when they don't have Decree/Cold Wave, or I can have Accelerator in hand. That's only 6 cards, and 4 of them are reactive...

So yeah, if someone has suggestions on how I can squeeze generic removal/books/etc...

The Side Deck still appears to suck even after I gave it a touch-up, too.

Honestly? I'd drop Maps, Malefic CED, Terra and something else for 3 Books and 3 Smashing Grounds
I understand the logic there. While Map was fun and useful, it wasn't outright needed, and Malefic CED was rarely used.

And yet, the 6th card to toss seems like a troublesome thing to decide... So I'll just add 3 Books and 2 Smashings for now. I honestly have no idea what else to cut (in the Main Deck, that is).

I'll replace CED with LSD, since I side Veilers and can just use Reborn on a Tuner of his. Incidentally, should I add in a Formula?

Quick changes made to the side.

Dunno about Formula. Really no space to fit in Lighton?
I could try squeezing him in somewhere, but first I need to justify running it with such a bad effect. I guess I can sorta avoid dying for one turn by setting it...

But where would I put it? Over CyDra?

It's a personal prefference, but yeah, you could drop Cyber. After all, many people keep Chimeratech Fortress in their Extra Decks, and it's not funny when your opponent clears your field and gets 5000 beatstick. Also, maining Lighton gives you a reason to main Formula. Or, if you want, main Effect Veiler instead

I think I'll try Lighton temporarily. While I've said several times that its effects suck, I can probably abuse it because it's a Morphtronic (use for Remoten, Celfon can pull it out, more Accelerator fodder, etc.).

Can you help me find space in the Extra Deck for Formula? I was thinking of removing Scrap Archfiend.

After I find out where to squeeze in Formula (and maybe Shooting Star/Red Dragon/Red Nova, LOL), I can start testing these changes.
