Well my parents decided to surprise me by gifting me a beagle puppy that I have been asking forever last week. I was sooo happy. Today, I asked my parents in what store they bought the puppy. So I was curious and Googled the store. And I found this...

They sell puppies with mortal diseases or just sick. I found my dog coughing and sneezing (not a lot) but my parents told me that puppies can cough sometimes since they dont have well developed lungs. But now that I read all those comments on that page... I am getting sick worried. D:

THEY EVEN MADE A NEWSPAPER ARTICLE ABOUT THAT PLACE! http://www.miaminewtimes.com/2010-12-30/news/puppies-r-love-sells-sick-canines/

This is getting worst D:

I just made my mom make an appointment. But still if my dog is sick... they wont even respond. Like to the other people... they will just ignore it. And worst.. with all the complains and reports made to the Florida Puppy Lemon Law and they didnt even bothered to get in the case! ISNT THAT THEY'RE JOB! they have been selling sick puppies for 4 years D: .

You parents are like mine. My sister hit her head pretty hard, prolly got a concussion. Mom's reaction. "Put Vick's on it."

About your dog, take it to the vet. They should know what to do.

what I meant by the store guys ignoring people is that pet stores in Miami are suppose to give you money back within like 1 year if the dog dies. Or if the dog gets sick it has to be within 3 weeks after buying him. Most people got ignored or got tricked by them by charging them $100 so those b****** will check them. I mean! THEY SELL FREAKING SICK DOGS! THEY DONT KNOW S*** ABOUT DOGS!

Vets off course wont ignore you.

Your parents should always check the background of place before even thinking about buying them. I brought my puppy through a friend of my next door neighbour, but one, she and my mum went several times to see where the breeder was and see the health of the dogs before selecting which puppy to pick (The runt of the litter), and she was nice enough to be cautious and made us wait another 4 weeks to pick him up, because he was so small compared to his litter mates. (Appart from an umbilical hernia which we didn't notice until he was groomed (which will probably be fine for the rest of his life), everything he has now are either natural in the breed (such as bad knees) or developed naturally (his dry eye) and an undershot jaw, he's absolutely fine) My next door neighbour, but one got her new puppy on recommendation from a friend, she was allowed to see the puppy she picked with her parents, see the vaccinations had been done and find out the type of food to start her on. (The poor puppy cried all the way home, but there's not a thing wrong with her, she's like a greyhound in a Yorkshire Terrier's body)

Basically your parents should have, checked the background, ask about health of the parents (this will tell you possible inherited conditions your puppy might have or develop) and ask to visit your selected puppy. Some breeders will have vaccinated the puppy before you pick it up, and have found a food the puppy has settled on.

I advice you get pet insurance ASAP, before you go the vet, because any conditions the vet finds will not be covered if its the otherway around. You might find that your puppy has nothing serious wrong, or something like dog flu or kennel cough, but get it to the vet. Better to be safe than sorry.
