I swear, the way you people act about your RP's just make you look a weeeeee bit egotistical.

What's the point of RP'ing if you never lose? You don't grow from winning. In fact, I think the loser of a RP fight is usually the better of the two, assuming the loser wasn't a godmodder who got the death sentence of course.

Before anyone comments and say they don't act like this, don't bother. We're all guilty, but I would like to think with how much I die I'm better about it then other people.

Maybe you're used to being the big bad, but honestly, it makes you look egotistical and annoying. I just want to know, why is losing such a bad thing for you? It helps you grow as a RP'er, and actually helps develop character. It seems like people don't realize that there's more to RP's then fighting and winning. :/

Not trying to be the big bad here. Just wanting to have a bit of fun and see how this plays out.

I hope I'm reading this right. Shadow, you were always considered the big bad guy ever since I met you. That helped you a bit, but we both know it doesn't help in the long run. I just cannot believe you are dropping that piece of you.

@Caeda: I never looked at it that way. I mostly fight for practice and survival.

Yeah, kind of painfully obvious in your case.

I'm not talking about your way of fighting or anything like that, I'm talking about your general attitude.

"The Truth, huh? Well my character has super speed and strength and accelerated regenerative capabilities in addition to the weapons he wields. In short, he's just toying with you."

That sounds like one of those, "Stop Having Fun Guys", to me. You don't like to lose, I get it, but why? It helps a character grow past the "mysterious badass" or "clumsy well-meaning idiot hero" cliches we all know. Granted, it can be done without losing, but it's a lot harder, borders on godmodding, and generally doesn't work because the person doing it can't pull it off.

Well then, I'll see what I can do about prolonging this fight so that we can each get the best measure of our respective characters possible.

@Striker: This coming from someone who has even more problems with being broken and god modding in every possible way then I have ever had? Sorry, but it's a bit of a laugh coming from you.

If it was coming from someone else who actaully rp's and knows my history, it would probably mean something though.

@Caeda: Actually, what I am doing with this character is a half crazed person who takes pleasure in causing others pain when he is in one of his phases.

Yea, yea. You do realize I haven't been properly taught to RP. I just picked up what I saw, which was mostly from Mr.Wham and Shadow.

That was deep. You have earned my respect.

And that's any less done then the others I mentioned?

I just want a simple answer to my question.

What is so bad about losing, that you, Striker, and many, many others have to go to such lengths to avoid it?

@Striker:

Bad people to pick up things from. I've been told Shadow was pretty bad back then, and I've seen Wham. Bad people to imitate. No offense Shadow.

I am SO offended! xD jk

Yeah, I wasn't the best back then, athough I did (and possbily still do?) have some real potential, at least according to Dahlia.

And there's nothing really all that bad about losing. I simply don't like the idea of a character getting killed off, although that likely stems from the war rp's that I have been in.

Anyway, you think that THIS is bad? You should see some of my other characters. THEY actually make this one look rather balanced.

I learned RP for myself. In almost everyone of my fights I lost, or gave up. I saw no more point in continuing the battle if I just gave up.

Losing makes me think of ways to give me an edge in the next, but I do not bother achieving that edge, I let my opponent win for my own things of not wanting to become bloody warrior(Metaphor). Fighting is a great thing to go along with. Sometimes a fight has no meaning. I say I always am going to kill someone, but I do not bother even winning.

I shall answer you question for myself Caeda. You see, the thought of death irks me in a RP. I try to be the last one standing as much as possible, which gets me into trouble a lot. Also, I don't like to lose, or more specifically, get schooled. Yes, Shadow and Wham weren't the best back then, but those are the two I picked up from. It isn't my fault that I had no one else to turn to back in 2009.

A character won't always get killed off, even in a war RP. I suppose not wanting to get killed off is understandable. Takes any character you've tried to develop and says "Go die in a fire" to you.

And, Shadow, that doesn't make it acceptable. Just because you've done worse doesn't make it right.

I learned RP for myself. In almost everyone of my fights I lost, or gave up. I saw no more point in continuing the battle if I did lose.

Wasn't so much directed at you as the other two. I've never really seen you RP before, but the other two I've seen.

@Striker: And it's that kind of attitude that leads to all the drama that you've been involved with.

Well, in the fight. That is my RPing.

But I was just stating.
