Perfection

Recommended Posts

Because of Bleach manga in Shonen Jump I have a different thought about perfection.

"Nothing in the world is perfect. It may be a cliche, but it's true. That's why the average person yearns for protection. But, is perfection really desirable? I think not. It's empty' stagnant. I abhor perfection. Perfection is a dead end. It leaves no room for innovation or improvement; or for wisdom or for talent. Do you understand? For us scientists, perfection means, despair. Be greater than all that's come before, but, never be perfect."

I did an essay on perfection I am paraphrasing, but this is a part I wrote "The word itself is not perfect. Why? Well because nothing can possibly achieve perfection..... People say that such and such is perfect, but that is not true because it was just something achieved that seemed to be perfect." can't remember much, but I got 100%...

Perfection is subjective, and yet is not.
Perfection is something unachievable, yet is possible.

If you believe something is perfect, then you are correct and incorrect at the same time.

Just think about it for a bit.

I don't see how that definition is useful.

He is stating perfection is a perspective.

Frankly, in my opinion, perfection is imperfect. Perfection cannot be reached by humanity as we know it. Full stop. If attempted, it either roots one where one is, or it drives one away from perfection even more so than from where one began.

Perfection itself is a flaw, and undesirable, as Gin said, but that doesn't mean striving for perfection isn't futile. If we believe we are perfect, there is nothing more we would achieve. If we give up on attempting to perfection, there is nothing more we could possibly achieve. So, while perfection may he impossible, humanity should strive for it. They won't reach it, but they'd get pretty f*ckin' close.

Basically: We need to strive towards perfection for progress.

I think the state of striving for perfection basically is the "perfect" state.

Whether you believe in it or not is effectively invalid. What do you believe perfection is?
