Saturn of Elemia
Howdy, folks. Omega Red a.k.a SaTuRnPaLaDiN here with another new and twisted card for you. With all the hype of the new Excess Summon mechanic floating around, I got to brainstorming and came up with a fun little idea. How do you hit something like an Excess Monster where it hurts? Attack its power source - the Overlaid monsters. Odds are that monster used to Excess Summon a monster won't be a powerhouse, so they will be quite vulernable if attacked. Without further ado, I give you: This card is also treated as a Machine-Type monster. This card can select a monster Overlaid on an Excess Monster as an attack target during the Battle Phase. (Overlaid monsters selected as an attack target are treated as being in Attack Position during the Damage Step). Go ahead and rate/hate/comment - but be constructive and respectful with your critiquing. You won't like what happens if it gets out of hand. Enjoy. =D
Zextra
Nice idea. However, as of yet, we don't know as to whether they'll be called "Overlaid" or "Exceed Material Monster" in the OCG. Anyways, besides that, it's a really well constructed card. Personally, I think the card is UP'ed, since it's extremely situational, and how most Exceed monsters will probably be stronger than this. Seeing how this is a sub-par Level 5, it probably won't be too much of a threat, even if your opponent does use Exceeds. Still, I commend you for thinking up these fun, effective ideas 9/

The reason for the types was so that it can gain the support of Warrior (lol Marauding Captain) and Machine specific cards (Limiter Removal was an idea). Its stats are nothing more than Cyber Dragon, basically. I ALMOST made it to where it could not be Special Summoned, but that would probably hurt it. This thing was not really designed to fight the Excess Monsters themselves - just the materials. Basically, it clears the way so that your other monsters can take out the Excess Monster without having to worry about the protection from the Overlaid(?) stuff. Maybe it should be a Level 4? (Was the original idea, but wasn't sure if it'd be a good idea or not) Yeah, not too sure about the OCG. Just going with what others were throwing out there. Blake
I'm sad D= I saw X-S, and I thought it would be like GB Hunter, but better, for Sabers ;_; Now I get X-S. Also, the correct OCG is OVERLAID UNITS. Not sure if this would work... at all xD But, I'll rate as if it did. It seems like alright anti-Exceed support, except its stats are low. I mean, it has Cyber Dragon stats, which would be good if it spammed itself. Also, isn't the Machine-type a bit unneeded? Even with the Multi-type support. OCG loooks good, beyond Overlaid Units. I'd give it about a 7/10 I think removing the Overlaid Unit would be better than attacking them. As in, returning them to the field as monsters in ATK position.
