The only problem is that if it was, it'd be extremely powerful. Synchros are used widely, and unlike De-Fusion, they don't require another card (like Poly) to Summon. So it could easily destroy your opponent or help your OTK ideas, especially since they don't require "specific" monsters the way Fusions do.

I think they realized that it would be broken as a Quick-Play. Especially since it lets you pick your opponent's monsters too. De-Fusion can work as a quick-play because most Fusions require an extra card to fuse back.

That's the main reason, yes. But it would be much more flexible and playable.

The reason De-Fusion is fine as a Quick-Play is because Fusions aren't played by everyone and require specific monsters (most, anyway) and usually some sort of Spell card to Summon. But Synchros can pretty much be Summoned by any Tuner/non-Tuner and almost everyone plays them. Making De-Synchro a Quick-Play would encourage OTKs without any real setup or difficulty at all (although it'd also make Urgent Tuning more playable), and also counter opposing Synchros the same way Compulsory can. It'd be too flexible for a strategy that's too generic and splashable.

So you're saying the card should be broken by your standards, and you're making the excuse that Konami sometimes makes broken cards to justify it? That's not right.

Who said that?

I was just pointing out how much more playable this would be. But consequently, it would be broken. It's fine the way it is, but not as playable as if it were quick-play.

That part. That implies you think it being a Quick-Play (and broken) is fine because Konami does poor card design.

But I don't think it would be fine. But they DO make broken cards sometimes (inb4gateway)

But your sentences combined amount to this: "If it were a Quick-Play, it'd be more flexible and playable. Yes, it'd be broken, but Konami makes broken cards often, so that's normal".

Maybe it's not explicit "That's fine", but it strongly indicates you dont see the problem with it being a Quick-Play despite acknowledging how OPed it'd be.

Sorry if I didn't explain myself properly. I'm Brazilian, so English is not my main language.

What I really want to say:

If this was a quick-play, this would be more playable. Consequently, it'd broken. I WOULD NOT LIKE THAT, AS I HATE BROKEN CARDS, but Konami sometimes does broken cards, so if it was quick-play I WOULDN'T BE SURPRISED.

I hope this explains myself. I never meant to say I'd like it being broken.
