ihop
NO! I thought this was the best deck ever(<--Insert Sarcastic Tone Here). That's why I'm trying to make it better. In case you haven't noticed, I don't like running the same old deck and I am trying to get this deck to work. So, from now on, unless anybody has anything to contribute to making the Field Lockdown/Countdown Deck work, than you can all just stay silent. To Canadian: Compulse wouldn't help with Battle Fader. When I drop it to defend me, once it leaves the field at all, it is removed from play.
Umm I posted a full working deck...

Emerald Fan
Why are you running Ojama's? Yes, King is a massive defender, but you need 4 cards in your hand/on the field to pull it out. That can create a major disadvantage. Defender gives your opponent hand advantage. The only time it should be run is if you're trying to thin your opponent's deck, and I can't think of a deck outside of empty jar that does it somewhat decently. Magical Mallet should only really be considered if there's something that you'd rather keep in the deck. If you want more draw power, try hand destruction or something. This is what I think.
Ojama King goes along the lines of the field control. It takes 3 of my opponent's spaces out of the mix. Defender was originally put in my deck for its defense. Give me some time to think on this. Magical mallet is staying, for the last time. It helps if my first hand doesn't have Countdown but has one of my good cards, like Spatial Collapse, and I need to get Countdown quickly without losing that card.
Umm I posted a full working deck...
Oh yes, I believe you did put up a full deck. I also recall that the deck you posted was before I decided to do something else with this deck. Use your imagination and see a deck that combines the annoyance of Field Lock-down with the endurance of Countdown. Please, doesn't anyone have access to their imagination anymore where this game is concerned?

However, what they're pointing out here is that Countdown gets more wins when it's pure countdown. Your "field lockdown" cards only make winning more difficult, as you don't have ways to just block the Battle Phase and be done with the turn. If you want to do lockdown, do lockdown. If you want to do countdown, do countdown. We can help you make a deck that does one effectively, but you'll just get people dropping Rose/Dark Hole/Trunade and other stuff on you if you try mixing Countdown with lockdown. If you want a good lockdown, you focus the entire deck around using Extrio or Cyber Blader. You don't do things like run one of each normal Obama and Poly in order to summon Okama King. Stunts like that just decreases consistency and adds dead draws. If you want a good countdown, you use iHop's list or something similar. They aren't compatible. News: I have shelved the idea of a Field Lockdown Countdown deck, for now. I will pick it back up when I have done proper research and brain stormed a bit on it, for I do still believe it can be done it just won't be easy. Until then I have gone back to my old way of making a Countdown Deck, all about defense. Enjoy.

It's not bad, but it doesn't even fit the title. And by the way, your Citadel would just act as a field spell since you have no spellcasters.
