Vough
Because you asked- Activate only at the start of your Main Phase 1. Spell and Trap Cards cannot be activated or Set. No monsters can attack. Face-up Effect Monsters effects are negated. Monster Cards cannot be Tributed or sent to the Graveyard for a Fusion or Synchro Summon. Destroy this card during your opponent's End Phase. SHOULD BE: This card can only be activated at the start of your Main Phase 1. You and your opponent cannot play or Set Spell and Trap Cards. Face-up monsters cannot declare an attack. The effects of all face-up monsters are negated. Monsters cannot be used as Fusion or Synchro Material Monsters for a Fusion or Synchro Summon. Destroy this card during your opponent's End Phase. *Cold Wave, Swords of Revealing Light, and Skill Drain. For the cards themselves, they would be a fun Billy Deck. They don't exactly fit as aggressive, or controlling. They just seem to help you gain Life Points and some can attack directly or stall. The artwork is nice, since they all look like they are related, or would be an archetype. I give them 7/10, because their effects are unique, but they don't support each other. But they also wouldn't work in other decks (except Rinne, of course)

ragnarok1945
in terms of pics alone, you'd get 10/10 on that but since we're rating all for Lynne the Divine Love, I wouldn't negate that special summoned monster's effect PERMANENTLY. Maybe just 2 or 3 turns and that's enough 9.1/

Icy
No just ONE turn is a bit too short. That is why I said 2 or 3
If you're going to negate the effect, it's plenty of time. You aren't going to use the card to attack (maybe negate an effect if it's Stardust; protip: Stardust's negation is a cost not effect [though why would you do that lol... just rambling), but tribute for another effect or synch it after Summoning a monster with a graveyard effect that can be tributed. And atm it's not even that good anyway. So if you're gonna actually use the card in question, it's fine as it is (not that there's a reliable way to SS it at all). 賢狼ホムPosted April 20, 2011 Report Share Posted April 20, 2011 I must say that effects that increases life points or have a life point cost are quite boring. Your set seems to build on such things, which is why I can't say I like too much. But nevertheless I'm going to try my best to give contructive critique. ^^ Koshiro the Night Elf First of all, Koshiro really do sound like a male name. While there is Japanese female names that end in "ro" I would say that they are very unusual. The problem is that "rou" (朗 or 郎) are perhaps the most male endings in Japanese names there is (太 "ta" being the competitor). "Rou" are usually romanized as "ro" because of our Western fears the Japanese long "o"-sound. I would suggest a namechange, but is just me. On to the actual card. Effects that increases ATK are hardly none-existant today becuase they are often slow, and it is more important to have effects that helps the deck than deals extra damage. Honest combines always-wins-the-battle-ATK with the ability to be summoned with 1900 DEF. Your card really only assures it is not beaten down the next turn by Stardust Dragon the next turn. The second effect however is more interesting, it allows you to draw a card. I guess the price is fair, but at the same time lowering the cards attack is quite boring. Light and Darkness Dragon is the sole card that comes into my mind right now that has an interesting lower-stats-as-cost cost. Picture is fine. Huuni the Friendly Witch Well, apart from Koshiro I guess you aren't going to go with a series of Japanese names, so I will not comment any mor of those. (Rest assured ^^) While it is quite an original effect (always a good thing), it is stuck in the gaining-lifepoint-jungle. The second effect is outmost boring, in best case scenario you gain 3600 life points for 2 cards, but in reality you are more likely to use this effect when the enemy has the advantage, whereas you would probably be better of with the 2100 ATK beatstick anyways. Picture is nice, mind telling me what galge it is? Yune the Delicate Warrior Second effect is great (pseudo-Doomcalibur Knight) but should probably be rephrased, though I am not sure how. Be careful though, not that many Trap Cards targets. Bottomless Trap Hole does not, Torrential Tribute does not. Cards you would like to negate with the effect wouldn't be: a player would not Solemn this card (and if they did, it is still destroyed → mission accomplished) and Royal Decree isn't affecting monsters. The double attack is strong - maybe too strong with 1500 ATK - and perhaps that is why the first effect is not so great that it seems at the first glance. On the other hand, second effect way more interesting. Picture is fine, but I would suggest you crop out the table. Once again, mind telling me the galge? Jen the Rebellious Charmer The name "Charmer" makes me think of another series of cards with totally different effect... is that a good thing? I dislike the 50 ATK, but maybe that is just me. Effect-wise: wouldn't it be more natural to attack directly if your opponent has many monsters? 1600 ATK is quite respectable for a level 4 so it really wouldn't need the effect if it was just facing one other level 4. I do not think it is necessary to have the second effect, this card is exactly revolutionary. Mia the Devious Ghost The effect that it cannot be selected as an attack target is strong, as (as far as I know) this means that your opponent cannot attack directly either. It is sort of an even better Spirit Reaper in that aspect. Too good? Perhaps. Gaining lifepoints by attacking the opponent is quite original, but again it is stuck in the gain-lifepoints-jungle. And it doesn't really it this defensive card. Special Summoning it with the lifepoint cost isn't really original, but could be a life saver. If possible relocate Mia to the center of the picture. Feng the Elegant Ninja Sexy Chinese name, but she looks more like a dancer than like a ninja to me. I just don't know about the double ATK when attacking directly, seems much with 2800 damage, but on the other hand it is a Spirit Monster. Second effect is utterly useless. The only way for this to be attacked is while face-down, as such the effect wouldn't kick in as it is flipped face-up during the damage step, and negate attack effects cannot be used by then. Lynne the Divine Love Wait a second... level 6 with 2500 ATK and effect? Did I miss something here? Nice effect, limitation could be rewritten as "until your next turn" which is probably what it would say on an official card. Becca the Swift Samurai First effect is utterly useless as it is now. Becca is a Warrior-Type monster so the effect would kick in anyway! More 50 ATK! D: Second effect is interesting, but destroying an opponents monster is probably better than damaging your opponent unless you attack for game. Nice picture, galge? Rinne the Master Spellcaster Many ATK and lifepoint-based effects. >_> The effect of treating any monster as a Spellcaster-Type is interesting, you might be able to develop this effect. Summoning is fine, makes me think of Red-Eyes Darkness Metal Dragon. Nakuia the Beautiful Dreamer Another trip to the gaining-lifepoints-jungle. Instead of that couldn't you add an effect that helps the deck? Search for a low-level Spellcaster-Type? Send a Spellcaster to the Graveyard? Special Summon the card you drew if it was level 4 or lower? Draw another card? Julia the Strict Soldier I don't care much for Syncrhos so screw the first effect. Second effect is great! Though as it is a level 5 monster it is kinda like a 2 card Trap Stun, which makes too expensive. A Calm Morning Well hello, gaining-lifepoints-jungle! Interesting activation condition. Getting Some Fresh Air The gaining-lifepoints-jungle sure is big! The Perfect Day What this really does it allows you to draw 1 extra card and Normal Summon one more monster. Could probably be done in a better way. Summer Night Breeze Why not just play Negate Attack instead? No activation condition and no bad effect. Beautiful Sunset Name does not correlate with effect. Don't know if the negative effect is necessary? Looking back at this set there is only one (1) level 3 so why would you use this card? A Romantic Dream Name does not correlate with effect. What about the usual, "you cannot activate this if cards with the same name is in the chain"? Great effect! \(^.^)/ But for this to work with your set, you would need to add more chainable cards. Woah, that became kind of long, hope it helps. Cheers
Nishi-chan
I repped you before I even finished reading " No, I wasn't trying to use traditional Japanese names, and Koshiro was no exception. You called Huuni a 2100 beatstick when she's Level 5(beatstick definition - a Level 4 or lower monster with 1800+ ATK). I admit to not knowing what glage meant, but after I Google'd it I can say I did not obtain these from a galge but from a Photobucket-style picture folder I found online. Advanced picture editing(removing the table) probably isn't possible without ruining the picture, and I just don't see Mia being centered. I like your idea on Julia being a 2-card Trap Stun, which now that I think about it is too expensive. As for A Romantic Dream, you are correct. I'll add that now. Thank you very much for your input
賢狼ホムPosted April 25, 2011 Report Share Posted April 25, 2011 Didn't know about the Beatstick definition. I thought it meant "it has a lot of ATK/DEF for its effect/level". But my point still stands: if you desperately need life points so bad that you are willing to sacrifice a level 5 card, you are most certainly going to lose anyway. If you are at an advantage, life points is of no concerns and you would rather have her attacking than gaining life points. Say you have Huuni, you have 300 and your opponent has a monarch, so during your turn you know that you will lose next turn. Even if you tribute Huuni gaining 400 lifepoints you will still die. The only time this card works is if you play a some kind of stall deck, leaving both players with full fields. Though your set doesn't seemed geared towards this, as you would probably want your monsters to be level 3 or lower, or have high DEF + effects. As you seem to like this gaining lifepoints effects, you should probably add spell or trap card support that activate when you gain lifepoints. Example: "Activate only when you gain Lifepoints. Add 1 Monster Card from your Graveyard with less ATK than the Lifepoints you gained." I play Macro Monarch usually, and the problem is that D.D. cards doesn't help each other out. I also have a Lightsworn Deck where there are excellent support cards like Lumina, Garoth, Wulf, Celestia which all benefit from other Lightsworns (but not in a lifepoint/ATK/DEF increase/decrease). Lightsworns, way more succesful. You should make your monsters benefit from the others, with chainable effects, protective effects, offensive effects. Many players agree on that Life Points are a resource. So if you have a lot of cards giving you lifepoints you should probably have many cards using lifepoints. About editing the picture, I just meant you could close it up: you lose the skirt on the vertical, but you lose only thin air on the sides. A girl (Kusakabe, was it her name) from the anime series of 11eyes is similar to Yune, so you might find a better picture searching there. Whoops... it became long again ._.!
