We have the technology. We can rebuild ourselves...into Gods. And, we really should become Gods. We are the rulers of this planet, and all other life big and small should fear us.

Humans are obsolete, and must be reborn...as Gods...or cyborgs...or cyborg Gods.

the human nature to be self destructive is what makes a superior species.
once in everyones life time you've probably read the lowest animal by mark twain
i disagreed to his opinion

competition, death, adaptation, greed of living content all contribute into the success of humans as the highest animal
we progressed faster in intellect, technology and philosophy than any other animal on this earth because satisfactory just wasnt enough

if the anaconda in mark twains piece possesed a greed to eat/kill more than they needed, then the anacondas would probably be the dominate species,
opposable thumbs my ass, they'll crush you lifeless before you could fit a sharp rock on a stick.

humans are disgusting yes but, the real grit and truth is no one gives a flying f***. were satisfyed living this lifestyle, yet unsatysfied because we need more.
so go ahead do your community service, save the world one bit at a time, no ones is gonna stop you. just no one will care

lol im a man of self interest, like 80% of the world

I'm pretty sure that the earth would be boring and worthless without humans despite the destruction that we cause.
Boring by human standards, perhaps, but without humans, other animal species and plants would thrive. The conditions for them would surely have to optimal. While the lives of non-humans may seem worthless, worth is subjective. For example, you might find the completion of the "story mode" on a video game fulfilling, while I see it as a worthless waste of time. Animals main pursuits in life are food and the ability to reproduce. Both those things would be abundant in a scenario without humans.

^Well said.

I remember seeing this documentary on National Geographic, where they looked into what would happen if all the humans died out today. In 1000 years there would be literally no memory left of us, in 100 years most of it would have reverted back to how it was previously. I say 1000 because that's when more or less all the monuments and building we built would have decayed/been destroyed. It wouldn't take long for dogs to revert to their Wolf ancestory.

I commonly don't see humans as very intelligent creatures. We've gone beyond basic survival instincts and now we fight about alot more than our ancestors had to (they mainly had to fight about food and further back territory), we forget how much we influence the world around us, we've killed off species that have taken 1000s of years to develop, because we feel we can enforce what we want on what some people believe are lower beings. I sometimes believe we're the stupid ones. Yea we've learnt some amazing things, but the population is too high because we've stopped 'survival of the fittest', and now any genes can be passed on whereas before some bearing those genes would have been killed out.

If you don't see humans as intelligent, I can't even imagine how stupid you think other animals are.

Next time you see an animal build a spaceship and land on the moon successfully, please contact me. I'd love to see it.

We are still enacting survival of the fittest, but not within our own population. We are the most intelligent, most powerful species on Earth, which is why we are able to kill whatever we want, take whatever land we want, and no other animal can stop us. We've developed technology with our intelligence to overcome any physical obstacles, like a tiger eating our flesh apart. Just shoot it with a gun. There is a reason that humans define Earth. We aren't saying that only the fittest humans can live or the strongest can, because we are, and correct me if I'm wrong, the only species that has a sense of morality.

Believe me, I'm not sanctioning the countless wars we've had or anything that was genuinely stupid, but humans are not stupid creatures. And if you'd like to define humans as a whole as stupid creatures, let me say...

Please don't apply your own shortcomings to all of humanity, thanks.

Dark they don't need to do it, so they won't ever do it. We've done it because we wish to explore, animals are happy where they are niches that provide food and will move on to other areas they need. They think about survival in what they do, we don't have to now.

I wouldn't say no animal could stop us. Animals never choose to attack humans as a first resort (Sharks most of the time do it out of curiousity). Infact more likely humans would stop each other, but remember humans are still part of the animal kingdom. I say were stupid because we create weapons to use on each other, we impose our will on other animals and use them for our own ends, we've caused countless damage to both other species of animals and the planet and that we see ourselves as the most intelligent beings, just what do we mean by intelligence? We need to remember we're still governed by the laws of nature and we still die at the hands of other animals even if they do not eat us such as Spiders, Snakes, etc.

I'm not tarring all of us with the same brush.

You completely avoided my clear point. They don't need to do it, sure, but you forgot to mention that they can't. They lack the brain capacity, they lack critical thinking, they lack opposable thumbs, and they lack a curious nature to build a spaceship. They are simple beings, we are complex beings. They are fine with eating, sleeping, and going to the bathroom, but we seek knowledge and information. We are the smartest species on this planet because of that. We've developed culture, languages, science. If an alien were to come to Earth, the first thing they would realize is that every piece of technology, every mathematical equation, everything that is developed on this planet was created by humans. And then you and the TC wish to call us stupid? Some of us might be greedy and power-hungry, but we are by no means stupid.

Let me put this into... simpler terms.

A wild animal appeared!
Wild animal is equipped with "lack of technology".
Wild animal attacked!
Human suffered no severe damage!
Human is equipped with "gun".
Human uses "shoot"!
It's super effective!
Wild animal fainted!
Human gained 62 exp. points.

Unless a human is not exposed to human technology, humans will always win. The average human with an average gun will beat the average animal and more without a problem.

I'm not tarring all of us with the same brush.

Yeah, you kind of are.
