Oh? I didn't mean to imply that, that isn't who you as a person are, Icy. I was simply saying that I wasn't happy being like that and gradually learned to be myself because of those very things. Each person is different and I appreciate that, you obviously care a lot about other people whereas I have a more 'go with the flow, they will pass and new people will come' - type attitude.

Sounds a bit like you have narcissistic personality disorder. I don't mean to offend but it really does, some people are just deemed narcissistic but others have an actual disorder that gets in the way of their life. If you thoroughly believe what you just said to the extent it's real, you should probably get in contact with your GP.

CL (w/friends): 85%

CL (w/people I know): 80%

CL (w/strangers): 70%

I use to talk to nobody, outside of family and close friends. But Senior year in high school I had a class that sat me between 2 girls who always sought my opinion. Since I have a problem with saying no IRL, I forced myself to converse with them. It really helped surprisingly, and now after my Communications class my self confidence is way higher than before.

so that's your tactic, make everyone share your own fate?

I thought you knew better, Lar

Everyone else is completely full of themselves, and they shouldn't be.

I merely drag them down to the level they deserve to be at.

Which therefore you're implying everyone on the planet deserves to be miserable
[/quote]
Not everyone, just the ones who deserve it.

Then maybe once the people who DO deserve to feel miserable realize why they deserve to be that way, they can work on fixing that and then they can actually deserve to feel better about themselves.

Honestly, I can't say very many people on YCM don't deserve it. You're all a bunch of pretty unlikeable people.

And most of the people on here lack a good amount of common sense. That's the main problem with everyone I know.

The thing is though, I don't drag down people who I don't know very well, or who don't outright display complete idiocy. If I see someone I don't know say one dumb thing, I'll usually say it's a pretty f***ing dumb thing to say. But unless I see them display such dumbfuckery over and over again, I won't constantly torment them about it.

You are one of the people on here who tends to do that. I will say you aren't the worst person I've met on here, and I've talked to you on MSN and you aren't THAT bad. Not someone I would consider a friend, but I likely wouldn't go out of my way to torment you. Probably. But maybe it's just the way YCM makes people act or something, or if this is how you really are, but you are completely f***ing intolerable here on this site.

I will not list anyone I feel doesn't deserve SOME dragging down for 2 reasons. First of all, anyone who I MIGHT say doesn't deserve it you don't even know because they aren't here on this site. Second, the people I don't drag down are either friends who I leave alone out of some form of respect for them and out of not wanting to be completely alone and miserable, or because they're just people I don't know well enough to know if they're deserving of it or not.

Everyone's got their faults, but most people refuse to acknowledge that. The only people not deserving of being dragged down are the ones that acknowledge their own faults, accept them, and do their best to overcome them. From what I've seen, you are not one of those people.
