Psychedelic attacks

There are no good pages on psychedelic attacks so I will describe what they are in the simplest possible way.
Ever have a dream? Well now picture that while you are awake, you see and hear things that you think are real, however, they are not.
To be honest I don’t know why I’m posting on a Yugioh forum about this when I would be much better off posting on a help forum. However, this may brew some interesting discussion. Recently my friend has been put into counselling due to the fact she is suffering psychedelic attacks during the day. It happens at pretty much any time, during break, during class time, when she’s at home or while she’s out and about.

Apparently she doesn’t see a lot but she hears a voice that counts from 1 to 10, and it get’s louder and more aggressive as it goes up in numbers.

E.g.

One...
Two...
Three...
Four...
Five...
SIX...
SEVEN...
EIGHT...
NINE...

So I’m really worried for her and I’m not too sure what to do about this current situation as she is already in counselling, I guess all I can do is be there for her.

Basically discuss your views on psychedelic attacks.

When I walk, I hear foosteps coming behind. Add that these days my body's all itchy and stuff, especially around my neck. Everyone around's trying to kill me. And all the time, there's a voice ringing inside my head.

"Gommenasai gommenasai gommenasai gommenasai..."

either that or a spirit is trying to apologize to you... Maybe you could listen closer and see if you can forgive her for anything...

That's a bad omen.
Be extremely cautious, your friends/family may be plotting to kill you.

Don't trust them.

Have you seen any maggots yet?

@OP - You sure it isn't schizophrenia or something? Glad to hear she's getting help. o:

Your friend should take more meds. Or less meds. I forget how it works with humans.

All I know is she's not getting juuust the right amount of pills.

Well, you've been watching a decent amount of Futurama. If I take your question seriously I can honestly say I have no idea how much medication she takes a day, I take 3 different sets of medication simply to calm down my mood swings, keep me happy, let me sleep and keep my OCD in check.

- Fluoxetine - For treatment of major depression and OCD

- Aripiprazole or Abilify - Generally given to people with schizophrenia and bipolar disorder, I take it to keep my mood swings in check.

- Promethazine or Phenergan - A strong antihistamine with a strong sedative effect. I take it for insomnia.

I once had one where I hallucinated that a giant balloon was coming to disembowel me. The "giant balloon" was my sister asking me why I was screaming. It was caused by a long lack of sleep combined with bad headaches. Friend probably has schizophrenia.

Schizophrenia is probably what it is, all of the symptoms meet. But, I'm not a doctor and nor are you, so let's just leave it at that. .-.

Internet Tough Guy, boasting about his epic medz and his terrible insomnia. Is it just me or does everyone on the internet suffer from OCD, mood swings or insomnia? Having lived with a manic depressive and an insomniac for several years I find it quite annoying.

Do you understand the internet one bit? I'm not denying there are genuinely people on the internet who have to take medication but the vast majority that claim to don't. So don't take it personally. The percentage of people in the world with all of your conditions is less than 0.5%, on the internet 50% of people will have claimed to take heavy medication one time or another.

I understand that much, your tone just suggested that I was lying. But anyway's, I agree with you 100% on that, I really can't stand people who boast about all these medical conditions they have when let's be honest, there is nothing to boast about. To put it simply; they're attention whores who think it's cool to have a mental illness. ¬¬

Also, sorry I did take it personally, but I'm sure you can understand why.
