Fraz
Are you playing priestess under the assumption that it gives the field the full effect of necrovalley, and the assumption that it allows you to play royal tribute when you haven't got the physical field spell? Omenhiikoyashi
i know that it dosen't give me the full effect of necrovalley but i can still use royal tribute and she also gives all Gravekeeper's a +200 atk and def
Zauls
That tournament must have been terrible. No way ever do GKs run anything near 19 monsters. It's normally 14-15.

While the field may be treated as Necrovalley, you do not control a face-up "Necrovalley", which is what Royal Tribute requires.
The creator put that on the card for card effects that simply require the field to be necrovalley like GK Assailant. Judges can be wrong, and in this case he is. Read royal tribute and note is asks for there to be a card called necrovalley on your side of the field, then try pointing to the card that calls itself necrovalley if priestess is the only card out then you see you can't activate tribute. Omenhiikoyashi
i just looked up 3 different sites of rulings on priestess and all of them say that you can use royal tribute, if their is no other field spell on the field, it follows under the maiden of the aqua rulings with umi
Congratulations on failing. Assailant and Royal Tribute fall under the same ruling as Umi-related cards. All Umi cards work while Maiden of the Aqua is on the field, so all Necrovalley-realted cards work too. Checked in few places, all say the same.
