Spoon Posted April 21, 2011 Report Share Posted April 21, 2011 Just played through the Singleplayer Mode... and even though it was a little short, it was worth every single cent, if not more. It made me laugh (for the most part), it made me cry (sometimes), it was every gamer's dream of a game. And while in the original Portal the gameplay took most of the cake (pun absolutely intended), this time it was the story, the characters, the atmosphere, the scenario which took it all. For the... I think third time in my life I can easily say I loved a game from beginning to end. And for the first time it's not a RPG. If this one doesn't take the price for "Game of the Year", I don't know which game could. Yes, the year sure still has it's releases (mainly Alice: Madness Returns for me), but I don't think something could top this. Except for the overall length and the loading times (which were a little annoying at times), there was nothing this game made wrong. When you solved a test after some hard thinking, this feeling of accomplishment is really something not many games can provide throughout the whole experience (last one for me was probably Resonance of Fate, my personal last "Game of the Year")... new elements on every corner and in a constant pace... what else to say, they may not have delivered the perfect game... owait, they pretty much did Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Canadian Posted April 22, 2011 Report Share Posted April 22, 2011 Game lacked as many difficult test chambers as I was hoping. Perhaps they will add test chamber DLC packs?
