WorthlessNoob
That, unfortunatly,is the the truth.Without death ,the humans cannot exist. If the dinosaurs were not killed by a giant rock , mammals could not evolve and we would not even be here and i would not even write this. The petrol that we use every day is formed from other organisms, died millions of years ago.If we have not cut down a million trees the large cities such as London,Paris would not be here. That my friends is the truth-Death feeds human resources.
That's not 100% true, as there's not quite enough evidence to document that completely. Also, I'm not an evolutionist but I'm fairly positive that the scientific community does no believe that "The Dinosaurs," were killed by a giant rock. Then again... *shrugs* OT: F*** cities. Let's stop using fuel and all live in harmony with nature.

Wahrheit
This is news to anyone? What's your... point? Every action had its consequences and every decision relays a separate result. According to quantum physics, there are even an infinite number of alternate universes in which each person makes each other decision in every possible deviation, and we happen to exist in this one. When the European powers colonized Africa they were more concerned with fueling their industrialization rather than preserving the lives and welfare of the indigenous peoples. Survival of the oppressive, not necessarily the fittest. And this is news to any of you? Read a textbook.

Living Being dies, rots into the earth, nutrients from dead being feeds Plants, Animals & Humans eat Plants, Animals eat Animals, Animal dies. Rinse & Repeat fro eternity. CrabHelmet
If the universal gravitational force constant were slightly different, humans would never have evolved. Dark
the scientific community does no believe that "The Dinosaurs," were killed by a giant rock Nothing has been confirmed about why the dinosaurs experienced a mass extinction, but one of the earliest theories proposed that was still around today is that a large asteroid hit Earth, causing a large dust cloud to form in the sky. This drastically cut the average temperature, and along with the large tsunamis and galestorms created by this asteroid, killed the dinosaurs. Mehmani
Wait a minute. I always knew this, but I never actually learned this in school. Probably cause I was homeschooled and the curricula had a horrible Christian slant.
I actually find that rather disturbing. Your parents conditioned you into believing what they wanted you to believe. I was raised a Catholic, but read much literature, from the Bible to Darwin to Marx to Refuting Evolution (in which the author uses passages from Genesis as scientific evidence). I eventually came to the conclusion that a supreme being was not a possibility and that Science explained things better. I used Ockham's Razor - a principle invented by a Catholic Monk, ironically - a system that dictates that when left with several explanations, you discard the one that produces more questions that answers and/or questions that can't be answered. Ockham's Razor quite decisively dictates that Science beats Religion. The main theory about the extinction of 80% of the world's life is that in the Late Cretaceous period (approximately 65.5 million years ago), a meteorite around ten kilometres in diameter hit somewhere near the Yucatan Peninsula (home to many future civilisations, such as the Olmec, Toltec, Aztec and Maya), producing a huge crater known as the Chicxulub crater (please note: it is certain that the crater was produced by the impact of a meteorite, it is mainly details about when it happened and what were the consequences that are subject to [little in the scientific community] debate). The resulting impact threw up tonnes of dust into the atmosphere, causing temperatures to plummet and the Sun to disappear. Plants died, the herbivores that ate them died, the carnivores that ate them died. Those that were not equipped to survive died. Natural selection in action. Dinosaurs then evolved into birds (this was proven when a scientist activated a dormant gene inside a chicken, causing it to grow scary-looking sharp teeth!) and life went on. ~/Coolio Prime\~
Entropy. Every time any sort of interactions happens something is eliminated from the potential energy pool.
