Or I Might be a little paranoid and am misunderstanding what you are saying...
FTW (For The Wynn)
You're misunderstanding a bit. That career thing is an example. Some day you might want to get married. Who can say?

Tentacruel
If that's true, why do people make such a big f***ing deal out of gay marriage? Civil partnership isn't good enough? Think about it before you flame me.

Icy
See, here's the thing. Marriage is not always necessary. I think in Hawaii they allow civil unions, which are basically a couple together without marriage. Josh might know more about it.
Yup. Its called a "Common Law Marriage", if I remember right. If you and your partner can be proven to be together for at least 3yrs or so, you get all of the Government Bonuses without an actual marriage. (Like visiting in the hospital freely, sharing income etc).

FTW (For The Wynn)
That's right, I forgot what they were called. It's possible to do that instead of a marriage, or you don't even have to do that really.
Bahamut - Envoy of the End
Ahhh, the wedding day. They say it's the happiest day of two peoples lives.. ................................. Doesn't that mean it's all downhill from then on? (Glass half empty) I find the notion of needing a piece of paper to prove your eternal love for someone a bit... stpuid... but I do like the idea of celebrating your love and commitment to each other with your family and friends and having a special day. I think I would like to get married as it would mean I've got someone special and it would just be such a day of memories. As for the 'marriage is devalued by celebrity relationships' which I think I saw mentioned earlier, so what, who cares what attention seeking prats famous for little reason do, really? Now if you would excuse me I would like to go and vomit now...
