Introducing the newest way to summon a monster =D

Recommended Posts

Let's get started. So I'm writing a Fan-Fiction so I've seen ZEXAL and I felt inspired by the New Exceed Summoning that is why I decided to "hit you guys up with this one" (unsuccessful attempt at being cool). So with this guy I decided I wanted to create something new. The original template was by Judas but the Japanese and edited stars and card are by me. The picture if you wondered is by Raphtil on deviantart. Okay onto the new sub-type. To Summon a Reactor Monster you multiply the Level of the "Catalyst" monster (More on this later.) by the level of the non-Catalyst monster. This is called React Summon. No Catalyst monster is over the Level three except for extremely rare cases. The Reaction Monster is placed in the Extra Deck along with other cards. I mean it doesn't really need much explanation. The card color closely resembles Fusion Monsters but are a little lighter. Tell me what you think. Also to get a little more in depth with how to summon this monster.

Okay so you have a Level 2 Catalyst:

you multiply its level by the level of the non-Catalyst monster(s). If you have more than one non-Catalyst monster than you add together the Level of all the non-Catalyst monsters.

Here is the final version of a Reactor Monster:

The last effect kind of reminds me of Stardust Dragon's effect. Anyway, the idea is awesome and so is the card. As for the color, it looks a lot like a Fusion monster to me. I suggest using Green, since no card has a Green Background(Spell Cards have Blue-Green but not Green). But that's just my opinion.

Anyway, great idea man, the card is amazing and I'd love to see more. + Rep. :D

Thanks for the feed back I was actually thinking on making it Green but I couldn't get the right green in photoshop D: but I'm attempting to find a perfect color for it.

YES... I would consider making it white, oh wait, no black, wait, red, oh wait, blue-green, oh wait, no pink! Yes pink.

New card types (like subtypes, archetypes, spell/trap types, etc.) are part of the creativity that makes RC work.

As long as you work out the details beforehand and fix any inconsistency or balance issues that arise as you go along, I see no reason why these kinds of cards can't be in RC.

The only question I have: is this an entirely new mechanic, or is it just a variant of Exceed monsters? If it's the latter, then I'd suggest just making it an Exceed. If it's the former, you might want to flesh it out a little bit more so people understand the differences (and whether or not they merit an entirely new card type).

Well it isn't a variant of Exceed it is an entirely new mechanic. I think it's rather simple. You have a level 2 Catalyst(I'll post this subtype later) and a Level 4 monster. You multiply 2x4 and you get 8, the final product and the level of the Reaction monster. I think it would be sorta like Synchro Summoning. I got the idea because multiplying screams more chemical reaction than adding or stuff like that. And hence the Name Reaction Summon. Catalyst are needed to cause any sort of reaction so thats the best I can explain it. So you'll also need some sort of an understanding of third grade math.

I do not think so anymore, as long as you do not create another one, you can leave it here.
Judemudedude made two SubTypes and Bless said, "keep it to one or they will both be put into any other card" or something like that....

Well okay.

I said nothing of the sort. The only thing I said is that I ask that Subtypes be expanded upon before considering to post them in RC, otherwise develop them in AoC. But it's hardly a requirement or anything.

Keep to 1 subtype or I'm moving this. Also keep up the S/T support as well as monsters, or that qualifies as AoC.

Wow. This is great. I really like the mechanic, and was planning on doing something similar myself, but you beat me to it. T_T
Ah well, regardless, it is an excellent card, and it does have a very Stardust-y effect.. 10/10

Since some people will be stupid and confuse how it looks for Fusion monsters, I suggest a color change. I would say midnight blue or a crimson color (sort of like a Slifer's card but darker). But, you don't have to listen to me if you don't want to. It is your card after all.

I was thinking like a dark crimson or green. I leaned more towards green I'll show both finished products though.

okay so here is the newest product:

Lore:
1 Catalyst x 1 or more non-Catalyst monster(s)
When this card is Reaction Summoned, draw 1 card. If you draw a Spell/Trap Card equip it to this card. Increase this card’s ATK equal to the number of Spell/Trap Cards equipped to this card x200. When this card declares an attack, Tribute 1 card equipped to this card to destroy the attack target before the damage calculation. Once per turn, you can discard 1 card to select 1 Spell/Trap Card your opponent controls. Equip it to this card. If your opponent controls or more Equip Spell/Trap Cards this card cannot attack directly.
