Holofoil
I looked through some of my cards and found a few nice ways to get Blue Eyes on the field very quickly, I also added some cards that negate attacks and increase my Life Points to make it much better. Very simple Deck, yet tough to break through. I think I've played ten duels with this deck so far, I've only lost twice. Negate Attack is also a commonly used card, along with Magic Jammer. Hmm... Well, I kinda like it, I've been winning quite a few duels with it anyway, so I feel like it's fine for now. Sorry if I prefer the earlier cards.
MysticTopazDragon
Old cards are awesome! In fact, I built a Deck-out Deck with the newest cards being 2 copies of XX-Saber Fulhelmknight, and that's only for Iron Chain Dragon, since he mills 3 cards from your opponent. I use Negate Attack x3, I use Wall of Revealing Light (they have to get Five God Dragon or Blue-Eyes Ultimate or Scar-Red Nova Dragon just to touch me. Way too much fun, and I've only lost 5 times out of 37! Believe it or not, I've never used Synchro cards before, Fusion monsters are good enough for me. Whenever I use this deck, I always get up to an average of 15,000 Life Points, usually more. I like paying 5000+ Life Points when using Wall of Revealing Light, since I have tons of life to kill. Such an awesome way to restrict your opponent. The only thing that ever screws me up with this Deck are Monsters that destroy Spell/Trap cards, since I can't negate the monsters with anything in my Deck. Bad hands are aggravating as well, but then again, bad hands are always aggravating, no matter what Deck you use.
No, no they aren't. Only n00bs use them.
I've been playing this game since 2002, I've seen lots of people use those cards, some have even beaten me. Either way, using original cards for a Deck doesn't make anyone a noob, maybe they just prefer the original cards over the newer monsters with effects that are long enough to pass off as novels. I'm one of those people. I don't always have to use the newer cards if I can make a perfectly good Deck with basic original cards. I've been doing well with this Deck so far, so it obviously doesn't suck.
burnpsy
There's a rather large problem with Wall of Revealing Light that you don't seem to be noticing. Nearly any decent player will have MST/Dust Tornado/Trap Stun/Solemn Judgment/Giant Trunade/Royal Decree/Black Rose Dragon/Scrap Dragon and others on hand at all times. So you're usually paying big points for nothing unless your facing some weird deck that lacks removal. Man-Eater Bug is inferior to Ryko, Lightsworn Hunter. The fact that you run 3 Cheerful Coffin tells me that you have no idea what card advantage is. Why would you run a -4 like that? No, Marie and Decoy Dragon are not good excuses. Most decks are maining a plethora of ways to get around that Decoy, and they won't attack it willingly. It also doesn't work if your opponent attacks it when it's set, so only an idiot would trigger it. There is literally no reason to use Negate Attack over Threatening Roar. Threatening Roar is actually chainable, Negate Attack isn't.

I never set Decoy Dragon if Blue-Eyes is in the Graveyard and none of my cards gain anything from Chain Links. If a Trap Card destroys Wall of Revealing Light, that's not a big problem, I don't pay high Life Points with the card unless I have 15,000+ Life Points. If my opponent has something like Berserk Gorilla on their side of the field, Decoy Dragon's effect would work just fine, and if they don't willingly attack it, then this makes the card a good shield. The Deck doesn't suck, I've been doing very well with it.
I'm looking at this deck, and honestly, if I can look at a decklist and find it laughably non-threatening, the deck isn't very good. The deck has no synergy. The cards I outlined above are just the worst examples of card choices, and that's being lenient. You're just cramming too many cards that eat your hand. burnpsy
You didn't respond to more than half of the things I said. Good job. As for what you did say:
I have Magic Jammer if I need to destroy any spell cards that fall in my way
And, as I said, there is no good reason to use it over Dark Bribe/Solemn Judgment, which both negate more than just spells and don't require a discard.
Man-Eater Bug won't accidentally send a card that I might need in my hand to the Graveyard
If your deck actually gets hurt by the mill, something's wrong. You're already running Cheerful Coffin for the express purpose of sending cards to the grave, correct?
I never set Decoy Dragon if Blue-Eyes is in the Graveyard and none of my cards gain anything from Chain Links
Did I ever say you gained anything from chain links? I didn't. I said that you can activate Threatening Roar in response to your opponent trying to destroy it, and you'll still get the full effect.
If a Trap Card destroys Wall of Revealing Light, that's not a big problem, I don't pay high Life Points with the card unless I have 15,000+ Life Points.
Yes, but you still paid X LP for no good reason.
If my opponent has something like Berserk Gorilla on their side of the field, Decoy Dragon's effect would work just fine, and if they don't willingly attack it, then this makes the card a good shield.
TBQH, you'll see FAR more people just using effects to get rid of it or summoning stuff with over 3000 ATK and swinging at you anyways than you'll see cards like Berserk Gorilla. The only exception is non-Synchro Karakuris, but nobody summons those in ATK unless they're about to do a summon loop that proceeds to win.
The Deck doesn't suck, I've been doing very well with it.
As I said, how you do against decks that haven't done these things to you on a regular basis don't really matter, as they're typically bad decks to begin with. Sephiroth_The_Legend
TC stop being ignorant. your counter arguments are horrid. burnpsy is correct. the cards you are using are either inferior or terrible compared to other cards. please, learn to play before trying to a point. also, by the time you pull off any of the combos. you'll lose. most decks are far to quick for this. Magic Jammer is garbage because you need to discard and you DO NOT have enough cards that are useful in the Grave to be using SO much hand killing. Use Dark Bribe or Solemn Judgment and Seven Tools of the Bandit, since you have SO many Life Points... Cheerful Coffin is absolutely awful, it's a stretch even in Fableds. You won't be able to use its effect to help you nearly enough.
