2-card otk

Other decks that run level 4s usually lose card advantage when summoning Exceeds.

Summoner Monk can discard one possible answer to your opponent's board to give you a different one that works differently and has different weaknesses. You can either use Fissure that can be countered with magatama or summon [s]Zenmaister[/s] GEM-KNIGHT PEARL and risk running into a Dimensional Prison.

Also, I believe that Monk into [s]Zenmaister[/s] GEM-KNIGHT PEARL is a better counter to Shi En than any other spell could be. (ok, not really)

The 2 best choices would be a currently unneeded Sarcophagus (IF you run it to fetch the OTK) or a dead Pot of Avarice.

A two card otk that requires you have to wait a turn, and hope that your opponent can't do anything on their turn. The top three decks can all shut it down on turn one. Hero's have +1s that disrupt the combo, GKs have Tribute + Oppression. Sams can just play Protect the Shi En and back it up with backrows.

The deck hopes to drop a bunch of big dudes really fast and hope they don't have Veiler(which everyone should be running) or any commonly played answers. Deck is just like KMP, yeah you can drop dudes but if you get hit by any common answer, its hard to come back from it.

The 2-card OTK Manjy is talking about is Ultimate Offering + a Gadget in hand

Oh noez, that completely invalidates my argument...oh wait, no it doesn't, considering Summoner Monk + Ultimate Offering is the same thing V_V

You are looking at the deck from a completely wrong angle.

Exceeds DON'T change the style of Gadget decks. You are still going to play it as control deck with lots of one-for-one removal and some anti-meta techs. Exceed just give you 2 options that the deck didn't really have before.

1) You can play Summoner Monk, Goblindbergh or Double Summon to instantly summon a big monster without losing cards.
2) You can finish the game earlier by activating Ultimate Offering. You will almost always have a gadget in hand. Also, I am fairly sure that you will have a spare gadget in hand more often than your opponent will have a veiler and when you do you can just summon the 2nd copy and restart the cycle.
