However, its current (total) 3000 DEF is too high; I'd knock its original DEF down to 1300-1400. 2600-2800 (total) DEF is probably more realistic. Had it been made a few months ago, it would have done very well in my "Mook Melee" contest (less than 1500 ATK/DEF, Level 4 or lower); it has good pic, and it makes a good counter to those stupid beatsticks. Virtually nothing in the metagame is affected by the defence drop, so there isn't really a point. If there were a more specific reason, then I'd be happy to change it, but from what I can see there isn't any difference. 1500 DEF also makes it ever so slightly less killable by level 4s, which I see as somewhat beneficial. That's why I think this card is underpowered. If it should be that it still gets its bonus, the effect would have (or should have) been like this: When this card [u]battles[/u] a Level 5 or higher monster, double this card's DEF during the Damage Step only. Now we need some kind of Field Spell Card that increases the Level and ATK of all monsters your opponent controls (that way we can make a Deck around this card and Gora Turtle =P The idea of a Turtle defending properly is good. It at the very least caught my attention xD [b]If anything, I'd even dare add protection from effect targeting to it on top of the protection from attack targeting it already has for the fun of it, but that might really be too much this time.... or maybe not.. That'd be pretty hilarious as a lock-down. I think not being destroyed by effect targeting might be a tad overdoing it, no matter how awesome it'd be, but it'd still be pretty interesting. x3 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
