Yang Xiao-Long
So I was channel surfing at a late hour, and I ended up coming across a live-action version of "Cinderella" playing on BET. I was about to change the channel, when I noticed a few things: (Not to be racist or anything, I'm just saying) The king was white, Cinderella and the queen were black, and the prince was asian. Anyway, discuss random things you notice on TV or in general.
Jolta
Skip, skip, skip. Yeeeeaaaah and so many people say Ben 10 is for kids. Well, there's more where that came from.
.Starrk
BET were trying to be diverse. Soap operas are s***. Obvious statement is obvious.
Tourmaline
I blame the brothers Grimm.
Grunt Issun
Why? The Grimm brothers had the good versions of the fairy tales, before disney got to them.
Tourmaline
Disney got to them and made them like this, which is true. Huh. Did they get rights, or did Disney just steal the stories? Anyways, Disney turned it into said tragedy... I was actually joking so fools who don't know where their stories come from could look it up, or something. A lot of people don't know how obscene the original versions were. Nor their origin.
.Corgi
I've noticed that TV commercials is entertaining if you don't look at them several times.
Grunt Issun
Oh. Yeah, our language teacher showed us the some of the grimm brothers stories when I was in 6th grade, much better then disney.
Catterjune
I'd take Rogers and Hammerstein's Cinderella over any of this Hannah Montanna, Good Luck Charlie, Wizards of Waverly Place garbage that currently litters Disney.
Clair
On the topic of Disney, it sure has changed with time. >< From "Snow White" to "The Suite Life on Deck", etc. Yay, change?
Grunt Issun
Definitly not a good change! They had great movies like Mulan before, now they have this crap!
