Competent and stop kidding yourselves - learn to take constructive criticism. Know your place and work from there. Understand why you play and what it is you are after from a children's card game.

Even if you're the world champion at chutes and ladders however - it's still chutes and ladders- remember this is first and foremost a hobby - how serious it becomes for you is equal to how much effort and resource you're willing to put into it.

I'm somewhere between competent and OK. When I joined this site I was 'basement dweller', when I began posting I was moving up into competent (ironically, this was when I got copies of Battle Ox).

I have no money, only the vaguest clue where there might be a local, and I don't have any really innovative ideas, although I do put the decklist together myself and have some understanding of strategy, although I'm not sure about playing against all the top decks.

OK players are cocky, I don't see why you would have this vote because most players are probably lying to themselves.

It encourages people to post and I want points.

I would say that I'm OK. Close to good, but not there yet. I was Competent before this Site, than I became OK, because everyone saying this card does that better than that cuz this and that, and learned about card advantages, and combos, and everything. I used to think LP was important.
I sometimes try to think ahead and plan my next move next turn, and think of the possibilities of what their face-downs are, like D-Prison or Bottomless, and I think of the possibilities of the cards I might draw, and the moves I make if I can get them. And I can sometimes make misplays which usually causes me to get gamed. Like sometimes forgetting to activate the effect of Infernity Archfiend when he is SS'd on DN. But I can make miracle plays more than often, like hurr durr, Summon Trish, Librarian, Scrap Dragon, and a random Fabled monster in one turn, swing for gg.
But in IRL I'm poor and so my Deck is ridiculously budgeted. I need a job. I do have good cards here and there, but not good enough to make a good Deck, like I have Rekindling but with only Raging Flame Sprite as my only card I have that is a target. And someone stole my Stardust, Red Dragon, Red Nova, and Formula a long time ago, so now I only have bad Synchros, like X-Saber Wayne, ew. But my friend is buying me 3 of the 2011 Starter Decks when it comes out, cuz he's nice and all that. Darn my school being full of rich kids.

I'm competent. The RL cards I have suck, I know I'd lose in the first round if I went to my locals. I'm either over confident or have 0 confidence that I'll win a dual. I understand tiers and top tiers but I like messed up what were you thinking builds. Such as mixing Zombies Malefics & that whale earthbound guy together. Or BWings with Humming bird EBI or other none tiering decks.

By the looks I'm at good. I know how to run my deck, how to beat Tier 1 decks with my current deck, I see a combo coming when people think it's luck, top at my locals and know my cards well enough to know every ruling.

Err, last time I heard of you you were playing some random DARK stuff.

I consider myself to be OK. I can top locals quite consistantly but I'm nowhere near good or anything.

I lol'd a the Jarel and King Games parts (I'm from NY and no one actually likes Jarel. He's annoying and usually buys his wins so he can top and "brag" about it plus I won against him the first time I went to KG lol)

Anyway I'm stuck between OK and GOOD I suppose. I know decks and I know how to play. I've topped locals and I run decks between tier 1.5 and 1. On the other hand I'm prone to making misplays under pressure...plus I lose focus quite easily which leads to me missing opportunities to turn the game in my favor.

I'm somewhere between OK and good. I understand every deck this meta very well and know how to play against most of them (except Samurai, since it's such a bad matchup) and I get at least top 4 at weekly locals every time I go. I run a good deck as well. The only thing I'm really lacking is reading plays and looking ahead, which just comes with practice I suppose. I've beaten a couple of great players in the country, but most of the time I lose to pros. I don't get cocky or arrogant or go off on a tantrum when I lose, since I know it won't get me anywhere. I am normally gracious in defeat (I do love it when I beat players that are supposedly better than me though). Yeah, basically, I'm better than OK but not quite good yet. I used to be competent getting towards basement dweller before I joined this site.

I'd say I am at 2. I have not topped locals (but got second in a 32-player tourney, only to get monkey stomped by Shi En)

My first match ever was against Perfect Blackwing (in this format, at least) , and my GK stomped it w/o Royal Trib.

Again, I've only just started to get goin, so 2.
