Because putting a single card in a deck to counter another single card is tthe best idea ever.
It doesn't just counter Tengu alone...

Here is a list of its most powerful enemies:
1. Glads.
2. Assaults.
3. All the Searchers.
4. Worm Queen.
5. Morph. Celfon.
6. Chaos-End Master.
7. Lonefire Blossom.

Need I say moar!!?

Your argument is invalid.

No you need not.

It's already obvious you have no idea what you are talkign about.

As for Lonefire + Agony,I have question. Would that be Lonefire under Debris rulin or Lonefire under skill Drain 'Cause, I think it's Skill Drain, but I am not sure.

wut? Corridor of Agony has no effect on Reborn Tengu outside of declaring Attacks. Still wont stop the field presence and synchro shenanigans.

chain destruction might help to get rid of the other 2 copies wherever they may be - but trollnami knew exactly what they were doing when they released this card. Kevin actually addressed some of the concerns about this card recently.
Cards do not get "hit" because they are popular. Cards get "hit" because they cause a problem, or limit deck diversity.

Tengu is an extremely versatile card that goes in a number of decks. It's a facilitator card, not an end-game strategy.

We should probably stop referring to 'tengu decks' since it's really a misnomer. Adding Tengu to your deck doesn't make it a 'tengu deck' any more than adding Mirror Force makes it a 'Mirror Force deck'.

Tengu is also easy to get and was handed out for free at the sneak peeks. It's a powerful, versatile, easy-to-get card. The kind of thing that everybody is always begging us to create. If people are complaining about it, I'm not sure what to say.
reading that is like listening to fingernails on a chalkboard -

I would complain - but Kevin Tewart wouldn't know what to say about that.

Miror B, If Lonefire Blossom cannot activate its effect because it was Special Summoned from the Deck, then it cannot Tribute itself so that its "no longer on the field."
Exactly. Thank you.

That's a good card but I would worry about how narrow it is and the fact it's a sitting duck. It's been out for awhile and it's done nothing to the GBs who I guess it was designed to stop.

I don't know that my idea is any better - chain destruction sends the other copies to the yard which some decks love a stuffed yard. My idea is chainable however. It does not get rid of the copy that is on the field.

*edit* there were several other posts after I made this - I'm referring to corridor of agony

Guys, you can Tribute Loneire under skill Drain, while it is negated. ._.

Lonefire can still tribute itself, just like Stardust/Tytannial/w/e, because this works like Skill Drain, not Debris.

So, onefire works under Corridor. Argumet invalid.

1. Costs are paid before the activation of a card, not after.

I thought costs couldn't be negated?

I mean, you can still tribute Lonfire under Debrs, it just won't search a new plant, and is stupid move.
Costs are paid before resolution.

Debris doesn't say "It cannot activate it's effect"
