CDDRodrigo
The only reason Mechanical Spider became Karakuri Spider is because it was released as an Previously-OCG card on STBL. Obviously, Karakuri Spider has NOTHING to do with the archetype. OT: They are fun. In 1 turn you can end up with 1 Burei, 2 Bureido and a Stardust. evilfusion
Karakuri are annoying. They can spam Synchros easily due to Komachi and their 2 Synchro monsters. They're essentially an OTK machine. I originally loved them, because they're so resilient to damage when used properly, but their level 8 Synchro and Komachi made them primarily an OTK deck that assimilated a Plant engine. Now, I can't use them. I've tried, but I don't understand their plays when I'm at the helm. I probably could use them now that I've faced them a few times, but I just don't see them as fun anymore. [/quote] Actually 'Karakuri' pretty much translates to 'Mechanical'. They only left it as Karakuri because it was more fitting for the archetype. And Mechanicalchaser's OCG name is not 'Karakuri Chaser', thats why he didnt get a re-name.

BehindTheMask
Pure Karakuri builds are way better than KMP. Pure Builds are better than Machine Dupe builds. The deck is really good in the hands of good players, however since TG Hyper Librarian's release, the deck can't compete. I mean, it still can do good, however, you need to be able to abuse Librarian in order to win this format now.
