Kazekage dragon Posted July 14, 2011 Report Share Posted July 14, 2011 [IMG]http://i513.photobucket.com/albums/t336/kazekage1995/300px-SurgingResonanceYSD6-JP-C.jpg[/IMG] I got my Xyz deck yesterday and after playing it I found a weird combo that may or may not be true depending on the actual rulings, but I haven't seen any rulings that do not permit this so...Okay the effect states that you can target a monster and it becomes level 4. One thing that bothers me is that it does not say it's level becomes 4 it says that the monster itself becomes a level 4. This may be considered a loophole changing an Xyz monster from Rank to level thus allowing you to Xyz another monster, and then this would give you even more Xyz materials considering you used an Xyz Monster that still had Xyz materials. But, hypothetically, supposing it does work, the Xyz Materials on the first Xyz Monster would be sent to the Graveyard. They do not become attached to the new Xyz. However, since the card does not specify that it changes the monster's level and only says it changes the monster to a level 4 I think it may still be up for debate since it doesn't specify that the monster must have a level and not a rank. A guy can dream can't he? I'm sure they have to at least clear this out on a news update or something. Who knows maybe in the future we have cards to actually change Rank to Level, only that they are specified. Thanks for the feedback! [/quote] I know, that's the OCG but the TCG made the mistake of not saying its level and saying it becomes a level. Unless of course the card text will be changed accordingly like they did with Waboku. True it's not a good card but really it all depends on how you use it in your deck.
