Equip Spell Card

Equip this card to 2 monsters you control. When a monster equipped to this card attacks: Add the ATK of the second monster equipped to this card, to the attacking monster. If the combined ATK is greater than 5000, damage calculation is not applied. The second monster equipped to this card cannot attack this turn. This card is destroyed at the End Phase.

*shakes head* remember, you didn't say BASE atk or anything

and nowdays you can boost lv4 monsters up to 3000 and all that

you want 6000 atk monsters beating at you?

I'd recommend you say something like for the max combined attack, if it exceeds the 4000 atk mark, then it can't do battle damage

That's not how equips work. =|

Why not just make this a normal spell, with the effect of "Select two monsters you control. The selected monster gains ATK equal to the ATK of the other monster. Only one of the selected monsters can attack this turn. You can only use one Team Attack per turn." Or something like that.

It's like the card Gift of the Martyr, except slightly better.

See, these are exactly the kind of posts that prove ragnarok has no idea what he's talking about.

If your opponent already has 5000+ points of attack ready, there's no reason as to why he wouldn't just go ahead and attack with his monsters and win the game.

The only real use of this card is to sweep away a monster with a higher attack, but if your opponents got a stronger monster then you its gonna be really difficult for you to keep two reasonable monsters on the field. A card like Smashing Ground or something does a much better job.


tl;dr - If you're winning, you won't need this card. If you're losing, you can't use this card.

It only really comes in handy in weird spots where you were winning by a lot in the beginning of the duel but then kind of lost a bit but aren't in that terrible of a spot yet. Smashing Ground and Fissure are better.
