Elemental HERO

Recommended Posts

Diverse archetype where only Alius, Prisma, Stratos and fusions really see use, and for good reason. Archetype asa whole is bad, but the good cards are indeed very good. They probably hang around tier 1.5 right now mainly due to super poly, but they function more as anti-meta anyway, so it depends on how you interpret how to call a deck what it is. Are they anti-meta or HEROes?

I just made an Omni-Hero topic, a sub-division of the E-Heroes. Anyone care to post in it?

OT: Why did Konami decide to make both Phoenix Enforcer AND Flame Wingman? If only all Fusions had alternatives...
Because Aster's too badass for Jaden's HEROes.

My friend uses these IRL, and he's the #1 duelist in my school. Put two and two together, please?

You can Kayne West and Xzibit him at the same time.
He goes for Flame Wingman.
You just-so-happen to control Light/Earth/Dark Hex
YO DAWG, IM REAL HAPPY FOR YOU WITH THAT FUSION, BUT IMA STOP YOU RIGHT THERE.
Play Super Poly.
CUZ I HERD U LIEK POLYMERIZATIONS, SO I PUT YO FUSION INSIDE MY FUSION(Shining Flare Wingman) SO I CAN HAVE AN E-HERO WHILE HES AN E-HERO.
DAWG.

Well who doesn't love the idea of a super hero? They're just fun. A lot of people don't realize that the E Heroes are a salute to decades of hero worship in Japan and here in the US. When you start trash talking E Heroes you're not realizing that the nationality of the people who invented and own this game are very PRO HERO.
I say this because I lived in Japan for 3 years. A lot of you may be of that heritage or enjoy being a fan of their culture but I'm here to tell you they take their heroes very srsly as well as their yugioh.

There's a reason E Heroes continue to get support and WILL CONTINUE to get support for a very long time - It's a part of the Japanese culture and heritage to believe in the idea of a hero. An entire series is based on them and probably the largest archetype in the game are Heroes. It's family friendly and easy to market. For a corporation like konami they are win win.

I wrote to Matt Charles recently and asked him to come back to Yugioh events. We really missed him in Pittsburgh and rumor had it that Greg and Dan called him - he doesn't live too far away from PA and the rumor was that he wanted to drive out and visit the event but family matters prevented him (he has a kid). Another rumor I heard was that he was once 'boo'd' at an event and has never returned. If we can get him to visit again. I implore all of you to give him a warm welcome. He's one of us. He's family.

I love the innocence and the fall from grace of the Jaden character because that's the most 'real' I've seen the show actually become for me. Jaden says "I'm sorry" when his friends are killed (sent to the stars in 4kids) and that really identified with me. I lost my mother and brother in a car accident in 1996 (the year that is printed on every single yugioh card) and feeling at fault is a part of dealing with tragedy.

So the E HEROs mean a lot to me personally. Also the entire mechanic is costly and requires a lot of effort and resouces - kind of like real life. I don't like the cheap power so easily handed to the synchros who get so much return for so little effort. Fusion is a minus all the way around. If death is easy and life is hard - then synchro is easy and fusion is hard.

I don't feel like I have to take a shower and wash the dirty power off of me after using fusions.
