Bolded means I use those moves the most.

What I need help with is the strategy.

He uses Gyarados first- so I always use Ampharos first. Usually Thunder strikes. If it doesn't, I start over (because I saved before I began to battle him). Then it'll strike, KO'ing his Gyarados.

Then this is where I have problems.

He sends out his strongest Dragonite. I always have trouble with this one. (I don't remember the move it mainly uses- it's the one where it strikes two/three times then gets confused.)

It holds a Sitrus Berry.

Anyways, I usually get through him and Aerodactyl if I'm lucky with about two-three pokemon with maybe two-three revives left. I always lose on the third Dragonite. I don't know what his sixth pokemon is.

Can somebody help me with a strategy for beating him? I don't want to leave and train- as I've spent all my money on all the different kinds of potions.

1. Would be helpful if you posted Natures and whether Atk or Sp. Atk is higher.

2. Held Items?

3. TMs?

Try some of the options here.

Gyrados

- Ampharos with Thunder. Reset when necessary.

Lv. 50 Dragonite

- Stall it out with Onix's Dragonbreath. If it can survive at least 2-3 hits, it may be worth spending some Potions here to keep it alive. Sandstorm is also a possibility as it increases Onix's resistance to Hyper Beam and Fire Blast.

- Use Gyrados' Ice Fang. Intimidate and Gyrado's general resistance should help a bit against it.

Aerodactyl

- Ampharos is your best shot here. Thunder Wave then attacking is the most viable route to go down.

- Onix, but I wouldn't recommend it.

Dragonite [With Blizzard]

- Use Typhlosion and carry on using Rock Smash until its secondary effect (reducing Defense) kicks in a couple of times. Either hope he switches out or start using Swift.

- Gyrados' Ice Fang.

Dragonite [With Thunder]

- Onix and Sandstorm. Carry on stalling with Dragonbreath. Potions will help.

- Typhlosion and same strategy as Blizzard Dragonite.

- Ampharos, Thunder Wave, and try to stall it out.

Charizard

- Lugia and Hydro Pump is your friend.

- Ampharos and Thunder. Thunder Wave is useful, if wished.

- Gyrados. Waterfall only if its Atk is higher by about 20 or so points than Sp. Atk, otherwise use Surf.

- Onix, Sandstorm and Slam.

General tips

- Use your Potions sparingly. However, don't be risky and only use them at a small health that could KO them with an unlucky hit. If you've bought potions of different strength, use the one that's most efficient.

- Revive only at a good moment, don't sacrifice one pokemon just to revive another.

- Since you probably won't use Weepinbell, you can sacrifice that for a revive however.

- Play through for practice to see which Dragonite is sent out first: Blizzard or Thunder.

- If you know a pokemon is really slow and won't survive another hit, don't switch it out, instead use the opportunity to heal it or another pokemon. Even revive another pokemon if wanted.
