I'v looked at a number of forums and everyone of them has said that this little baby says no to infect, deathtouch, and other similarly annoying effects making it even more annoying then those said effects. Course it appears that trample can still deal damage to you.

It is becuase Trample only cares if the damage would enough to make the creature die...not if it will make the damage...
Same as how a 6/5 creature with Trample and Deathtouch will inflict 5 damage to the opponent always as long as 1 creature is blocking it...even it it is blocked by say...a 8/8

how so? I'm still rusty at the game. (Rusty meaning I'v played but only got back into the game recently)
if Gomazoa blocked that 6/5 you'd only take 3 damage

Yes
Except...that thing got deathtouch + Trample...in that case...Gomazoa will not die..coz it can prevent the damage...but deathtouch will make it so it tramples you by 5 instead.

But Death Touch wont kill Guard either sense damage isn't dealt to it. Could you give a longer more in depth explanation.
yes it won't actually kill it...but as stated Trample Damage doesn't care if you actually kill the creature you are Trampling...that's why trample combined with deathtouch whose effect says that only 1 Damage is necesary to kill a creature cause the 6/6 Traple Deathtouch to Trample by 5 instead of 3 even if card can prevent the damage...

Card seems great. The Deathtouch + Trample doesn't make much sense (I get it though).

Yea, I love Gomazoa. So useful in casual play.

As for the trample/deathtouch thing it's simple imo. Trample lets any damage ofter what would be lethal go to the player and thanks to deathtouch that number is 1. A little screwy that Trampling creatures don't need to actually kill the other creature, but w/e.

Correct.

I even once saw Gomazoa in a tournament. The entire deck was based around countering yor spells and playing this to stall you long enough so that it could cast Roil Elemental and take control of your creatures.

For anyone who doesn't understand

Deathtouch officially says "Any nonzero damage this assigns to a creature is lethal damage. A creature with toughness greater than 0 that’s been dealt damage by a source with deathtouch since the last time state-based actions were checked is destroyed as a state-based action."

Trample says "If this attacking creature assigns lethal damage to all blockers, it can assign the rest to defending player or planeswalker."

Since deathtouch makes nonzero damage lethal and one damage is 'nonzero' damage, you can just assign one damage to each blocker and the rest to the defending player or planeswalker.
From what I hear, they're thinking of deleting that rule, but only time will tell.
