If you control a face-up Level 3 or lower WATER monster: You can discard 1 card; Special Summon this card from your Graveyard. If this card is used as a Synchro Material Monster, all other Synchro Material Monsters must be WATER.

Called this as a Super. $75 already, that's ridiculous. The Super Rare does look cool, though.

Is this card part of the problem? Or is it the Synchros/loops that really cause the issues?

This IS part of a Synchro loop. It's part of the problem in my eyes. Deserves to get banned. Without it, Formula wont be as abusable in some decks, and a number of other Synchro loop producing decks (Fish) will be weakened.

I know it's part of a loop, I meant the end result of the loop. If that makes any sense.

It's easier to ban/limit the things that cause the loop instead of getting rid of the end result. Which is why this should be banned.

yes it is....but Konami don't have the guts to do so, to them its easier to ban/limit the end result, because they like to be difficult.

Since I didn't point this out earlier, and I mentioned it in another thread, I'm gonna say it again anyway.

Bashing on Konami's ability to make a banlist is not only stupid, but wrong also. They do make a good banlist, they recognise when cards are overpowered and limit/semi/ban them accordingly. The fact that there's a 6 month gap between each list may make it appear otherwise, but they need time for the game to develop between banlists or else the game becomes pointless and boring, and it also allows for better testing of a card's list placement.

i understand that, but i know they make dumb decisions too, they need to make new decks win tournaments otherwised it'd get boring, for example Plants need to get hit, and i'm sure Sabers will be soon. we need a diverse meta, but sadly that won't happen for a while. Though, [s]i am also leaning on the fact that Tengu wont get hit, even though people are b****ing about how broken it is and how it needs to be emergency hit[/s]

A diverse meta? In a card game such as this that's almost literally an impossibility. There will always be a playstyle, or an archetype that's simply better than the rest, that's what makes them the best decks. Because of this, it's impossible to balance everything to be on the same level, since if you do that you actually ruin the diversity even further, since every deck would play the exact same. The way Konami do construct their meta means that 5 or 6 deck types will consistently top, and each of those decks are actually different from each other, which a lot of players seem to be unable to comprehend. Fact is, there is some variety, the most that can be generated from the game. It also keeps it at a safe level to prevent being knocked out in a tournament purely because it's impossible to have something for everything. In the way the current meta is played, there's enough decks to keep moderate diversity of sorts, while also not making it completely down to luck as to what deck type you play. Sure, good decks don't take much skill to make, since they're all carbon copies, but the best decks still take a lot of factors into consideration. [/rant]

What can I say? Say something dumb on this forum and someone's going to call you out. You should be glad someone of my stature would spend the time to educate those less fortunate, such as yourself.

Or maybe the teachers are just blunt.

You should take into consideration what's explained to you, not just ignore when someone helps. I may have been blunt, but (and correct me if I'm wrong) I was in the right.
