Feminism makes it a point to say, "Hey, even though we have equal rights and stuff now, we want [i]more[/i] than that." Seriously, females were equal to males decades ago, and although some sexists do lean in favor of males, so-called "anti-sexists" lean in favor of females. [/quote] Yeah, and professions that are in the engineering department are more likely to hire females with lower credentials than males because of the gaping gender split in that field. Unless you can tell me that a large portion of all hiring cases show favor to females, it's almost negligible. In fact, I'm sure you'd be able to find a similar amount of cases that give preference to women in terms of hiring and salary.
