Crusader can get broken from the atk gain in synchro

yes Matrix Commander is weak on its own, but it'll go up to at least 3000 atk anyway once you use Crusader to summon it. The 500 atk gain part is fine, just like Perfect Machine King's effect (to an extent)

Is this not supposed to be a part of the Machina archetype, or did you just misspell that?

Matrix Commander is awful. I get that the low original ATK was meant to prevent it from being overpowered, but when you're inferior to Perfect Machine King aside from a good fetch effect, something is wrong. The fact that's it a Level 10 archetype-specific Synchro just makes it worse, and considering how there are only two cards you could use to summon it, that makes your options outrageously limited. You're pretty much required to use Crusader, although Crusader is a good card in its own right.

Golem is ridiculous, and it's blatantly obvious that the only reason it's a Level 5 that you can Normal Summon without any requirement is so that you can use it for Matrix Commander. This reminds me of the Tech Genus archetype, but worse. The monsters serve no purpose but to summon a particular Synchro, but in truth you're better off using the non-Synchro monsters in other decks.

Controller and Onslaught are hilariously easy to use, but situational. Just have two of each of Crusader, Controller, and Onslaught, and you're pretty much set.

I might be wrong, but doesn't Machima Rising prevent you from targeting your Machima's with your own cards? Isn't that a bit counter-intuitive?

Nope. Not a misspell

You see, it's not a complete set. I'm planning on making a few more waves of cards that could be used instead of either Crusader or Golem. There will be plenty more monsters to support these. And true about Machima Rising. I should change that so it only affects opponents cards.
