Elysium Set [HQ]

HQ cards revolving around banishing monsters and Special Summoning themselves.

Story behind -
[i]As always, my cards are always designed after famous myths, and Elysium is the greek version of Heaven, it is placed under the Pillar of the world - the pillar which holds the Earth.[/i]
[i]I took the greek myths and mixed them with buddhist figures, have fun.[/i]

Lore: When this card is Summoned, destroy 1 monster on the field.When this is destroyed by battle and would be sent to the Graveyard, you can banish it instead.

Lore: During your Main Phase or your opponent's Battle Phase, by discarding 1 "Elysium" Spell Card you can Special Summon this card in face-up Attack Position. This card gains 100 ATK for each banished monster.

Lore: Once per turn, you can banish 1 monster from your opponent's Graveyard, this card's ATK becomes equal to the banished monster's ATK until the End Phase. Once per turn you can Tribute 1 monster you control to negate the activation of a Trap Card and destroy it.

Lore: This card gains 300 ATK for each banished LIGHT monster. When this Attack Position monster would be destroyed, you can change it to Defense Position instead.[/Spoiler]

Lore: When this card is Normal Summoned, you can Special Summon 1 "Elysium" monster from your hand. When a monster Special Summoned by this effect is destroyed, banish this card.

Lore: If you control 3 or more "Elysium" monsters, banish 1 monster on the field, it returns during the next Standby Phase OR; Select 1 face-up "Elysium" monster you control, it's Effect is negated and it gains 400 ATK for each banished monster and is destroyed during the End Phase.

My thoughts - Chains of Elysium is pending for confrimation, wouldn't it be too much if you already have 3?

I've been toying with those cards for a month now, and finally uploaded them.

Wow, these cards are great! I love the pics, and the name is awesome! I've studied Greek mythology, so I know about Elysium, and I think it's really cool that you used that name for your cards.

It seems to me that you've made a nice, banish-based Light monster archetype. It looks like it would work very well together, and I hope you continue!

I do, however, think that Moving Toad Shrine is a tad bit OPed. You can use it to summon ANY Elysium monster, and once it's destroyed, it boosts the power of the rest of your monsters, seeing as how they all benefit from banished monsters. Also, cards like Elysium Reincarnation follow along the idea that you can use easy to summon monsters as fodder for the stronger ones, such as Sorcerer. This kind of playability would make Sorcerer way to formidable. Of course, with the Meta being filled with cards like D. Prison and what not, it could be taken down quickly.

I'll input more once I see some trap cards, but for now:

P.S. Sorry that your great set is ignored. You seem to put a lot of effort into it, but instead of reviewing yours, people seem to go and check out 1 and 2-star members' cards, which, as we both know, are usually crap. Not always, but like, 99% of the time.

I like the trap, it's very interesting. Sorry you still aren't getting comments. I guess people just find it easier to comment on cards that aren't creative, which is why they do :/

Anyways, OCG fix on "A Moirae's Weaving"

I'm pretty sure that's correct. Not exactly sure how to word the bolded part, but it seems okay for now.

If the Your.Dek contest was still going on, I'd definitely think this set would do well.

I like the archetype but they dont really have a lot of synergy with each other. Their effects that focus on banishing or removing from play monsters is very good. Its funnny because my recent archetype does the same thing lol

My suggestion is to make them more banish-spammy, if you know what I mean

The cards you've made are interesting. It's a real nice idea, you have obviously thought it out well. They only real problem I have with it is Elysium Sorcerer seems too easy bring into play. And with something like Mask of Enlightenment, there is absolutely no cost to bring him out, and with no cost paid out before the card is destroyed. Nerf that card and I think your balancing should be perfect. It's a really nice set of cards that are entirely credible. Just clear up that little hitch and you'll be onto a winner. 8.5/10
