One Card Game...Different Rules

As for the batshit insane Exceed ruling....If I used monsters to create a new monster....how are the monsters I used still on the field when they are essentially absorbed into my Exceed? By that logic I can technically have at least 15 monsters on the field at any given time....Konami North America is just retarded.

It is ruled in both the TCG and the OCG that Xyz Materials are on the field. This is proven in the OCG texts of Space Cyclone and Xyz Gift.

The differentiation is that in OCG, Xyz Materials being detached aren't treated as being sent from the field to the graveyard, while in TCG, they are. You could call them being well, "detached" in the OCG instead.

Now if an Xyz Material, which is definitely "on the field", is detached from its Xyz Material, why isn't it treated as being sent from the field to the graveyard? The OCG rules it like that, but it doesn't make logical sense in the first place and they're the ones with contradictions in the first place.

The TCG ruling makes more sense, it's just that Konami made Tour Guide From the Underworld, and... yeah.

And, @OP, if you complain so much about the game, why do you play? ._.

It's like people get payed to be naggy or something

We all play because its fun, that does not change the fact the game has issues that need to be addressed....come on guys stop asking stupid questions like that..

Its the same reason people play video games like MVC, Blazblu, COD ect ect. The games have balance issue but they are still fun and such issues are can be fixed with new installments/patches....same applies to YGO.

They are attempting to fix the OCG with ruling adjustments and such so they clearly understand the game is broken. It is just stupid that Konami North America does not follow suit to make adjustments for the betterment of the game.

Fair enough, but it does not make sense that they get their effect when they are sent to the grave while being treated at Exceed Material because they are technically no longer monsters. If they are monsters then by that logic up at least 3 monsters can occupy a monster card zone at a given time.

Even if they're not monsters, they still recognize that they were sent to the Graveyard, and they remember where they were sent from.

An equipped Sangan to, say, Plasma still its effect, iirc. Basically, Units are equips.

Of course, the logic against it is that the monster is purely absorbed energy by the Xyz and so does not exist in its real form anymore, losing all its effects and position as a card on the physical field.

I guess this is what i'm getting at. They just become part of the Exceed and ammo for their effects. They are no longer cards so a Sangan is no longer technically a Sangan.

Neither KDE OR KOJ think this is true.

But they can be removed from the field by Space Tornado and whatnot.

And, just like if Plasma eats Sangan, then Sangan is sent to the grave, it gets its effect.

The TCG effect makes PERFECT sense.

The Plasma and Sangan situation is slightly diff because Sangan still occupies a legit card zone of the field so it is on the field, Exceed Material do not occupy a legit card zone, they are technically just part of the Exceed Monster that actually occupies the card zone. As I recall only 1 card can occupy a card zone at any given time so how are Exceed material still treated as cards in the TCG

What does Space Tornado do? I can't find it on wiki for some reason.
