I'm, like, just at the part where I'm going back to the Water Dragon to learn the song thing. I'm wasting my time. He's just reliving the past, but he can't ACTUALLY do that, so there's no real problem with the sword. More importantly, there's no real relevance because it's just a gameplay mechanic and not an actual part of the story, so there's really no point in arguing it what-so-ever.
