Let's see... 1) Negated the Battle Damage. 2) Brought out Stardust. 3) Boosted it to [b]23000[/b] 4) Forced Z-ONE to attack it five times. It's one thing to have a card that can get the main character out of a jam, but it's another when the writers are like "Oh no, we wrote him too deep into a corner!" *gets out shopping list* "Hmm, well we can give it this effect... and this one... and this one too... and this should work! evilfusion Posted September 14, 2011 Report Share Posted September 14, 2011 I fully acknowledge the symbolic nature of a card with a name that's in all his Synchro chants, but dude, what the hell? It's uber specific in its activation conditions, brings out a specific monster using Materials in the Grave. Then it gives it a massive ATK boost, of at least 3300. A monster with almost 6000 ATK should be more than enough, but it could have much more than that. Then, you can reduce its ATK by removing Dragon Synchros from the Graveyard and force another monster to battle with this suped up monster. And this all can be done several times. Sephiron was ridiculously overkill in the anime in the first place, so they made a one-card overkill counter. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

The idea was to end the duel in an "epic" way...they were unaware that this is a show about trading cards, and because of that, this is a stupid idea. If you take them too seriously, it detracts from the enjoyment or the spectacle. It's supposed to be entertaining, and the Synchro chants sound cool.
