So on Saturday I go to a different locals and test Agents, since I'm planning on using them for Regionals. I'm very unfamiliar with the deck and I just don't like it overall, so I borrow Plant stuff from my friend (Tour Guides and some other stuff) and test Plants, which I draw the godliest hands with. There's also the fact that I'm familiar with it, since I played it last format, so I give the first regionals in my area a shot with this.

I get to the venue at 7:20, which is Dream Wizards -_-. Place is crowded as usual, and I pull a Nova Master from my entry pack. Whatever. I buy a super Debris Dragon for $12 which is pretty cool. 5/7 of my other teammates are here today.

After some consideration, I decided to main a single copy of Cyber Valley. I really like the card since it can be decent stall, and it just gives a lot of advantage. I didn't get to use it that much but it was still there and whenever I had it it was good. The side is sort of impromptu but I like it, and I would be playing a Decisive Armor if I had one. Enemy Controller is the f***ing nuts

Plant Synchro vs. Reptillianne Venom Bad Deck

The guy's new, bad, etc. Whatever I wanna win this s***.

Game 1
I "skillfully outplay" him

Game 2
I "skillfully outplay" him. This is one of the only times I summon Cyber Valley in the event

Round 2
Plant Synchro vs. Vayusworn

The guy seems like a good player.

In either Game 1 or Game 2 I open like Foolish Bulb BLS Sarco and some other stuff. I go foolish Dandy into Bulb make Formula, and at this point I'm like I should Armory Arm + BLS him for game so I sarco for Reborn, and my thinking is I need to mill a dark off of Bulb. Though in reality all I had to do was Sarco for Tour Guide, make Armory with Bulb + Tour Guide and drop BLS. He clutters his field with stuff, but even though I can't simply OTK I just win with BLS. In the other game I lose by just getting beat down.

Game 3
I grind out the victory with Torrential/Bottomless as clutch protection, and he didn't Storm my two backrows that would stop his push. :\

Round 3
Plant Synchro vs. Sabers

It turns out Sabers are a really common deck today. Strange stuff.

Game 1
Stuff happens and I make a Trish to stop his plays. I think I Rai-Oh a Darksoul which really sets him back, and I drop Gorz on an Airbellum and do stuff with that.

Game 2
I have Mind Crush but I Crush Darksoul to which he goes Boggart Fullhelm Faultroll >__> I can't recover so I lose.

Game 3
I open Tour Guide, and he does passive stuff. He does Saber tricks with Monster Reborn/Boggart/Pashuul to make Stardust, which makes me think it's to protect his three backrows, but I go summon Doomcal and Heavy, but he has the Solemn. I'm stuck with Doomcal Sangan and I have to ram Doomcal. Sangan is eventually destroyed, I get Dandylion, so my hand is One for One, Dandylion, Mind Control, Breaker to his two backrows, Stardust, and Pashuul. I end up with Black Rose attacking over Pashuul for game since he's at 2000.

Round 4
Plant Synchro vs. Sabers

Yeah, I don't play any other Sabers following tho

Game 1
I stop his Saber plays with Rai-Oh, I have One for One + Dandylion plus stuff if I remember correctly, and I just outspeed him with combos and he can't do much.

Game 2
I have Tengu + Crush on his Darksoul, he adds Boggart which turns out to be his only Saber (he was going to Mind Control + Boggart for Utopia) so I crush the Boggart and see his hand of dead cards. He gets a Gozen Match when I drop Sangan, but I just search Veiler... He tells me he can't do much so he just scoops, as he didn't draw into any monsters.

Round 5
Plant Synchro vs. Gladiator Beast

oh god it's my teammate. I actually like jinxed us, saying we would obviously play, but eh. He's only played GB once other than this event, and I lent him stuff etc. He's undefeated though so not bad.

Game 1
I go Lonefire + Reborn to turn 1 Trish him, after Spacing his Chariot, hit a Laquari, Chariot, and A Hero Lives. Problem was I had 1 token left for him to attack into, but he just goes Darius Test Tiger into Gyz instead of Secutor, so I'm like okay, and he exhausted his resources too much and is unable to make a comeback

Game 2
He rips Cyber on me, I rip Cyber on him late game. Fortunately my Cyber fuels BLS for the win. f*** BLS is such a good card. Other stuff happened but I don't remember it so eh.

Round 6
Plant Synchro vs. Gladiator Beast

yay more Gladiator Beast. The guy told me he was originally gonna play Exodia, but all of his stuff got stolen and he had to switch to GB. He ends up getting top 8 anyway though lol.

Game 1
He does Laquari set 4 and I'm like f***. I even have like One for One, Dandylion, etc but none of it can plow through his backrows and I just lose after overextending for no reason.

Game 2
He's in a situation where he can Reborn my Formula Synchron and make Brio to bounce and run over another thing, but he doesn't have Brio because his extra was stolen :o So I end up winning this game.

Game 3
He sets four as an opening, and I eventually Heavy it with a Solemn to stop his Starlight, but this puts me to 4k and I have few resources, and we get to a point where I have Cyber to his Laquari and I have a set E-Con, he goes Test Tiger tribute, I thought about it, but just decided to econ take the murmillo he brings out, but I forgot he didn't Normal Summon the Laquari so he summons Rai Oh and I lose, since I'm at 350. :\

Round 7
Plant Synchro vs. Gladiator Beast

Geez, I haven't even played against Agents yet. It's so odd. This guy is on like no sleep since he left at 2 AM to get here on time since he's from VA.

Game 1
He T-Sets, and I Tengu attack into Waboku + Murmillo -.- I econ his Murmillo so he doesn't tag, which actually sets back his plays, and we get to this point where he has Gyzarus, swings into Gorz, and tags into double Murmillo -.- I'm like wtf, sure. And then next turn I tour guide run over both Murms make Leviathan or something, and I get rid of his resources so I win. The guy mains triple Waboku too.

Game 2
His sets are always Murmillo and he wins this or something. idk.

Game 3
He brings out Herk at one point, which I get rid of with Smashing so he has no cards. He rips Laquari and does stuff and brings the Herk back, but I just BLS it and win.

Round 8
Plant Synchro vs. Blackwings

This is quite new. Guy's from Team Shenanigans. Only way I could tell was from their tshirts, which has leprechaun dandylions on them :o

however, when dandylion drives a formula synchron, s*** gets even better.

Game 1
I stop a devasating Trish play by Veilering Shura, and once again stuff happens and I go Armory Arm + Brio + Librarian to play around Gorz and win.

Game 2
This game is full of f***ing retarded s***.

For SOME reason I Mind Control a faceup Vayu with nothing to do with it clearly. At this point I'm just like "why the f*** did I do this", so I randy -1, but he doesn't actually have other monsters to use, so he just attacks with Vayu. I end up going Leviair + Tengu + BLS to knock his life down to low, to which he tops DaD, but I have Mind Control and bunch of other broken s*** from playing somewhat passively. Then he goes Sirocco Gale to my Librarian + Formula + Dandy token, and he tries to half Librarian and I make Scrap Dragon. So then, he attacks into Scrap with Gale and discards Kalut and I'm like o.o and then I just win because I'm in an amazing position at this point.

Top 8
Plant Synchro vs. Plant Synchro (Thomas Vo)

So at first we're like playing Yugioh is stupid and he just wanted to roll a die for the binder (which we were playing for, we both got mats etc), so I'm like "we should play pokemon for top 8" and he agrees and I ask my friend who works for the store if we can, so he tells us to go to the head judge, but he says he has two decks in the back from base set. We go to the judges and they're like you have to give us an actual winner before we give you the prize, so I let him get the win and we play Pokemon for "top 4", and the binder which is pretty shitty tbh

So it turns out the two decks are fire and water, so one of us gets the bad matchup. We roll a die to see who goes first and who picks what deck randomly. I win the die roll so I'm like YES, then I pick fire and I'm like f***. It doesn't even have Charizard in it so I borrow my friend's 1st ed base set charizard lol.

Top 8
Fire vs. Water

Game 1
At the beginning of the game I'm setting out my prize cards, I draw 7, and I notice that I draw Nidoran and grass energies. I hadn't looked at the deck beforehand so cool I guess, I can beat his bad matchups. So he only draws one basic, and I draw Nidoran + Charmander. I flip Nidoran and everyone watching us is like lollllll. Poliwag has 40 base, weakness to grass. Nidoran has a one energy for 30 damage, which requires a correct coin flip to go through. If I kill his Poliwag, he loses since he doesn't have any other basic pokemon. So I roll a die (in pokemon you do it instead of flipping a coin; heads even tails odd) and roll an even, so I win game 1 with an FTK lol

Game 2
My deck actually sucks, because none of the cards have synergy, and I don't have Energy Removal, which was the nuts back then. He has like every Energy Removal ever and I get to a point where I can't win because there's no energy acceleration.

Game 3
He only gets one Basic again, which this time is Dratini. I can't kill it in time and he fills his bench to like three by ripping several Oaks and stuff, thins his deck by a lot. He gets out a Kangaskhan, and holds onto it for a bit, giving it double colorless so it can use its attack (flip 4 coins, 20 damage for each heads). I get solid stage 1's out for walls, and I can't deal any offense because he rips every Energy Removal again. So then he starts to beat me down with Kangaskhan when he rips a Switch. At this point I'm like f*** I might as well start shielding. l can't get any attacks in, but when I look at his deck I see like 8 cards left, so basically he has to kill five pokemon in eight turns. Because Kangaskhan relies on rolling an even (coin landing on heads) he can't actually do it enough to kill me, and at one point he rolls four odds in a row, so he decks out and I win the binder.

Afterwords I trade the ultra pro binder I bought earlier today for a Dyna lol. I need a new binder, the regional one is pretty bad but I'll probably just buy another ultra pro at some other point.

The reason why is that a colored card can confuse an opponent that it's something else and influence their plays.

However, Ghost Rares are still Official Artworks. The issue Konami has is that people are using not-official stuff.

Oh, and it's a policy, not a ruling. It's Konami's rules, not the judges'.
