Ieyasu Tokugawa
No, but they get irritating is the point But the thing is, none are as forceful and common as bronie references. You can monitor my posts for all I care, you won't find me posting many references to MLP outside the club itself. CDDRodrigo
You know what's more funny? Neither will the references stop, or the ones against them stop jabroniing. After so much discussion, we will end on nothing.
John A. Zoidberg
So just because they harm no one means you shouldn't listen to other peoples requests? If, hypothetically, I were to run around shouting all my beliefs and someone asked me politely to stop because it annoyed them, I shouldn't stop because I'm not hurting anyone? ^
Tentacruel
In that case, you probably should, but it's still your decision. Plus, it's different. References aren't forceful, they're just everywhere. I've never seen anyone shove ponies at anyone.

To a lower extent, if you saw 100 people with a haircut that you dislike, which happened to be the same haircut for all of them, why should they change it just because you don't like it? Grunt Issun
Oh yeah, it's totally different. It's ALWAYS different when you're defending something, isn't it?In any case, do you find us hating Bronies in any way annoying?

Ieyasu Tokugawa
Topic's going nowhere. You're asking us to tone down the references, some of us say we will, then you keep b*tching. There's no point in arguing anymore.

You guys don't just walk around with a "haircut." You flaunt it and talk about it in every other conversation. If you were JUST fans, whatever. I'm fine with it. But going into a random post on the forum, and see a bronie reference in a place it doesn't belong, obviously I won't enjoy it. And I'm not gonna keep quiet just to keep you people happy. Besides, it shouldn't be any different for 100 people than it is for 1 person. You're still gonna hate a gang of 100 white supremacists as much as you hate 1 if you're against racism. Tentacruel
With that logic, I could say that gay people shouldn't flaunt their homosexuality because it annoys me. But I don't because they can act however they want.
Grunt Issun
Fair enough.I'll try as hard as I can not to voice my hate for Bronies, though I shouldn't have to, since you guys won't stop voicing your love for them, I'm going to try and be POLITE. A good friend of mine is one. But if a homosexual walks over to me, flirts with me, and tries to make a move on me, I'd expect them to stop if I asked them to. How come the answers with which one of them attempts to corner the other side are so different? You don't see bronies directly refering to you in random comments, which would be a perfect example of forcing you to like it. What we do is, in fact, no different than the "haircut" situation. -Do what you want, you are the one "not enjoying" after all. On this side we have nothing to loose, and we aren't even being as out of control as you make it out to be to begin with.

So your argument is: Because we're not insane, we shouldn't take anyone else's thoughts or opinion into consideration. Come on. Seriously. Saying, "I'd appreciate it if it was toned down a little" was what I said in the beginning. If you say tell me I'm going too far, then keep in mind, I was originally trying to be polite about it.
