Sander
You should try Sweet Corn Chicken soup. Found the recipe on the net, but do not know if that's the correct one though (as in I had that soup at an asian restoraunt, but that s*** was delicious). http://www.awesomecuisine.com/recipes/307/1/Sweet-Corn-Chicken-Soup/Page1.html

Akira
You need sparkling water to make it? lolwut
.Rai
Best tempura uses it. Otherwise, people use breadcrumbs.
Akira
Wait... how are breadcrumbs an adequate substitute for sparkling water? I'm so lost right now.
.Rai
Sparkling water is basically used so the batter becomes much more crispy and lighter. The easier way of making the batter crispier is adding breadcrumbs into the mix.

Sailor Gourmet
You should seriously make this into a blog. It's pretty interesting. Your best bet in terms of meats is chicken, as it is versatile enough to make limitless things out of. Buy lots of packs of frozen vegetables. They are a godsend. Trust me. With that, pastas are also an easy thing to customize. A great dish can take only a few minutes to prepare then the pasta is done. Canned clams, frozen shrimp, and other tinned fish go great with the noodles, a bit of garlic, oil, and pepper, and yer good to go. Do you have any roommates you cook for, or is it just yourself? Clair
This is really cool, Akira. I'll definitely try some of these recipes out. ^^
Bahamut - Envoy of the End
I love my cooking. All part of living independantly and being an adult Do various things. Mainly pasta based, usually involves peppers mushrooms and sauce of some kind. Don't go out and get spices and seasonings though, can't afford all that stuff for added taste, I just need bulk. Will have to try out the mushroom pasta and chicken stir fry of yours though.
Akira
Will post a few updates after Beth goes home. We made sunshine toast and bacon... FOR DINNER! And last night we had spag bol which was pretty much my veggie pasta minus mushrooms and plus mince so I won't bother writing that one up.
Do you have any roommates you cook for, or is it just yourself?
I just cook for myself and shove any extra in the fridge. Also @Bahamut you can get cheap mixed herbs for seasoning, is worth it IMO.
