Tentacruel
Discuss them. To be honest, I've always liked this series, but just now I realized the subtle yet disturbing hint of racism in these works.
Zeal Ascendant
I love these! It's been a while since I've read them though. Wait, racism? What? How?
Tentacruel
I may be over-thinking it, but it seems that the good guys and bad guys are divided based on species. Mice and squirrels are good. Weasels and rats are bad. Ect. Ect.

I just thought... they were like demons or something, not super natural or anything I mean - just plain evil. But I do see your logic.
Shradow
It definitely runs the Stormtrooper Effect. I like the series, but reading through it in publication order, the chronological whiplash really messed me up, and after awhile things kinda got repetitive. I got halfway into The Legend of Luke before I stopped.
burnpsy
I remember watching the TV adaptation of this when I was younger. I also remember getting a random book in the series for free about 7 years ago. Is the series any good?
Shradow
I only watched the first 2 episodes or so that covered the first book. Were there anymore?

Tentacruel
The series is quite good if you can handle the heavy accents.
