Guest Cursed Reaction
Feel free to suggest some, I'm sure I've missed tons. #1: The Agent of Miracles - Jupiter Why? Mainly because it runs over Leviathan Dragon. It also runs over Stardust, Caius, things like that you might see this format. In the case you don't have a Tour Guide to start with, mirroring with a Jupiter second turn always helps. Helps you on the Dark World catch-up too. Its 1800 ATK also means it's less vulnerable to Reborn Tengu. As well as that, it's constantly controlling what you need for Archlord Krystia. That's one of the important reasons why it's even viable. #2: Genex Ally Birdman Another Agent tech you might want to consider just for the free Trishulas with Venus. Was perhaps more popular last format, but it's still viable in many top-tier decks. #3: Black Garden Wait, what? inb4dae. Basically, it's limited to Dark Worlds this format of the 3 big decks. Against Agents, you're too likely to suffer a Trishula coming your way. With Plants, well, I definitely do not suggest it. However, against Dark Worlds, Grapha suddenly doesn't look so big. They can't do amazing amounts with the tokens generated by you, unless they tech in a Fabled Raven. It makes Grapha a non-viable target for Eradicator Epidemic Virus or Deck Devastation Virus, and destroys those pesky Dark World Field Spells that lurk your way. It's definitely considerable if you're playing Plants against Dark Worlds. #4: Closed Forest It eliminates the threat from Dark Worlds of their Field Spell. You should be able to predict Mystical Space Typhoons and Heavy Storms with it too. It gives you more the reason to consider Starlight Road too, if you need the protection. The boost is handy too, especially if you're running T.G.s or similar. It's pretty simple how it's supposed to be used, so give it a go in the side in anticipation of Dark Worlds. #5: Armored Bee A weird Japanese card that's rather interesting. It can run over anything under 3200 ATK basically i.e. Trishula, Grapha, Hyperion, Krystia, most Plant Synchros. That's an extremely valuable asset to have on a simple Level 4 monster. If you're running Dark Simorgh, you may want to try it along with a Tour Guide engine. Blackwing - Gale the Whirlwind is also a viable choice, but fails to run over a majority of this format's bosses. #6: Neo-Spacian Dark Panther A really interesting T.G. Agents tech for the mirror. Alongside is the fact it's DARK and Beast, for Chaos/DAD/Horn of the Phantom Beast shenanigans. Copy Tragoedia, copy Judgment Dragon, copy Scrap Dragon. It's more fun in the Agents mirror as said when literally everything can be copied, and is a good DARK alternative to your LIGHT cards, from Venus all the way to Hyperion. I tested it with Mage for a bit a week ago, and it wasn't too bad in theory. #7: Neo-Spacian Grand Mole Fun for stalling when they've spammed out endless boss monsters, but isn't too effective against the 3 big decks of this format because of how easily spammable the bosses are. Unless you can get it in Turn 1 or so and siphon their combo off early, it's situational. Your best shot is using it against Plants, really. #8: Maxx "C" I think everyone knows this one. Pretty much guaranteed to be a +1 this format because of the amount of boss spam. If it doesn't, it'll at least discourage your opponent from doing big plays. Pretty hard to predict too, unless you keep it in your hand for a stupidly long time. #9: Thunder King Rai-Oh Pretty much one of the most amazing cards of the format. The sudden surge of Sangan should encourage you to use this. It is a good 1900 ATK body, and is Warrior-Type and is also LIGHT. The stats are already amazing, but you can play mind-games with your opponent to predict when you'll stop their SS plays. Should always keep some in your Side, if not your Main. #10: Doomcaliber Knight Perhaps less useful this format, because it's near useless against Dark Worlds really. You might want to try it against other decks because it is a DARK Warrior with an amazing ATK and DEF. #11: D.D. Crow It's a very versatile card against Dark Worlds, Agents and Plants. Cutting off their key components is a powerful thing. Then hold it in a 'from the hand' monster that's DARK and Level 1. It doesn't require you to commit to an RFG deck either, as it's highly splashable. #12: Debunk With D.D. Crow and Effect Veiler becoming all the more popular, Debunk is effectively a counter counter. In other cases, it is a very effective Plant counter. However, it is still rather situational so keep it in the Side. #13: Prohibition Less popular this format because of Heavy Storm, but it's still extremely viable. You can easily declare problem cards if you're OTKing soon, despite it giving your strategy away. Most useful ideas is just to declare Grapha, or something like that, so you can just shut down a deck's main aim. #14: Infernity Launcher Basically, Infernities are still pretty viable. They've gained hideous amounts of Trishula loops, and they've gained Xyzs and Tour Guide as support. They can easily run Chaos if you want too. They are a great change of pace to the current decks, and providing you can survive the first few turns against the explosive plays of this format, you will always have a significant upper hand. #15: Naturia Beast It's a very effective Dark World counter, shutting down a large amount of their consistency. You are shutting off Agents and Plants to a degree too. It's easily summoned, so if you can get it out, run it. #16: X-Saber Pashuul + Elder of the Six Samurai You could go for Kagemusha over Pashuul but Pashuul is somewhat more fun against the fast format. Access for Shi En is a valuable thing to have this format, and there isn't a quicker way than with this combo, being backed up with Smoke Signal, X-Saber monsters and Reinforcement of the Army. It's a very viable combo which can be tried in its own deck. #17: Guldfaxe of the Nordic Beasts Easily Summoned against Plants, and gives you pretty quick access to Thor, especially in T.G. Having massive beatsticks (even bigger with Horn), that totally annihilate Catastor plays or anything of the like. To be honest, you'll only be ever reviving it for fun anyway, and you should have really won by now with a massive 3500-4300 ATK beatstick. #18: Bottomless Trap Hole Grapha counter [/card] #19: Dimensional Fissure It's a more dedicated version of D.D. Crow, but it completely destroys Plants and Dark Worlds, Agents to a lesser extent. Six Samurais and other decks can successfully build round the card, and it's definitely an amazing card to look at. #20: Kycoo the Ghost Destroyer It's a very fun, effective card for the gap between D.D. Crow and Dimensional Fissure. Chaos loves it. #21: Gagaga Shield Basically a fun Chaos Village tech if you want a more survivable boss monster, which can be lacked at times.
