You don't get it, do you
then
you realise ?

A two card OTK.

In this case, the chain would resolve and since losing is the last thing to happen, you lose. Not win.

Exodia interrupts the chain and makes you win immediately.

That doesn't sound right... you chain Full Salvo to his card. And you can win mid-chain. Dropping their LP to 0 happens before his card resolves trumping any other effects declaring you the winner.

Chains resolve backwards.

Opponent uses this.
You chain Full Salvo.

Chain Link 1: Final Beserk
Chain Link 2: Full Salvo

Full Salvo resolves, basically putting opponent to 0.
Then Final Beserk resolves as Chain Link 1, and you lose. They can't lose because there's only 1 loser.

Except before Final Beserk resolves, you are already declared the winner. It doesn't have to resolve.

I quote from the Wikia, http://yugioh.wikia.com/wiki/Chain "It is possible to win a game Mid-Chain".

Only auto-win cards can do that :S Full Salvo does not have an auto-win clause, so the chain must resolve first. The game cannot check the field's current state mid-chain (i.e. check how many Life Points people have etc), but since 'You win the game' is an action, it does not have to check the field for that.

Not so, here's more from the same page.

Player 1 has 2500 Life Points, Player 2 has 2000 Life Points.

Player 1 attacks Player 2 with "Mobius the Frost Monarch"

Player 2 responds with "Magic Cylinder"

Player 1 chains "Ring of Destruction"
Here, "Ring of Destruction" would resolve first, destroying "Mobius the Frost Monarch" to inflict 2400 points of damage to both players. Player 1 would have 100 Life Points remaining, but since Player 2's Life Points would drop to 0, he would lose the match before his "Magic Cylinder" would take effect.

Well, in that case, I switched the two around :S

Either way, this would be banned, Full Salvo would stay untouched, and then I'd blow up the maker of this card.

Haha, he's right there ;)

I'm sure there's better combos than Full Salvo... but it's just so useless otherwise why not use it in a 2 card OTK xD

Wow, first time hearing of Flame Salvo...

Both Exodia and Flame Salvo do the OTK.

And actually, even if it doesn't work, you can negate the card... I mean, a cost is never negated because it resolves before any chain if I'm not wrong, so you can play Solemn Judgement and Negate Full Berserk, it would bring all the cards to your hand, and you wouldn't lose cause Full Berserk was negated. And, I think that if your entire deck is in your hand, there have to be a way to win even not having Exodia, come on... Your entire deck on your hand, you can play any move you want... As long as you don't have to draw for anything this turn, there is a great chance of winning.
